Oh, it was probly before attack was around. XD
Just to show that if a new skill were to be released, cbt levels wont necessarily get higher.
If you have 76 attack, and 76 strength. You will NOT ever get another combat level from ranged or magic.
Why?
This is because there are TWO skills to melee. Attack and strength, where as magic only has one, as does Ranged. This is why rangers and mages usually have a lower combat level than a melee.
Lets say a new combat skill is released. Lets pretend it is Telekinesis.
Example 1.
telekinesis is one skill. You have just started a new acc. to make a telekinetic pure.
At level 99 telekinesis, you will be the same cbt level, as a lv99 range pure would be, or magic.
This also means, if you have 76+ atk and str, telekinesis will not affect your combat level.
Example 2.
Telekinesis is split into two skills, we shall call the A, and B.
If A+B is a higher value than Attack + Strength, then you are now a Telekinetic Player, and are no longer, (if you have been) a warrior.
If A+B/2 is less than your mage or ranged level, then you will be the same cbt level as a plaer who has equal atk and str to your A and B.
Still following?
Example 3.
Telekinesis is split into 3 different skills. C, D, and E.
If C+D+E/3 is less than your mage/range level, then you will be a Mage or Ranger.
Now, if C+D+E>Atk+Str, then you will be telekinetic, and your combat level WILL rise above 126. This is because max melee stats = 126, if telekinesis can be higher than melee, then the max cbt level will be expanded.
--------
As you can see (hopefully), unless there are 3 different skills to be released which are all in the same combat category, combat level will not rise, and F2P pking will not be ruined.
