Hey I believe listing 1m names and hack them would be too simple. I have a few ideas that might make sense.

1. The hacker will hack account listed TWICE only
2. The hacker will hack every account NOT listed (which would be incredible for that matter)
3. The hacker will hack account listed on Lowercase/Uppercase letters
4. The hacker will hack everyone on the list
5. Nothing is going to happen

No way this guy will hack that many accounts, it's far too large scale. To do a hack of this scale would take serious skills and time, and would warrant serious repercussions. It's definitely just some scaremongering.

I've heard about that a couple of days ago.
And as far as I know 99% of my clan is on that list.

The list had to be downloaded from rapidshare originally I think, so I heard that the person made this thread so a lot of people would download that rapidshare file.
And if your rapidshare file is downloaded a lot then you get a premium account or something.
That's what I heard at least, I don't know if anything about it is true.

We'll see about that tomorrow, won't we.

Your account isn't stored in your computer. It stays in the jagex's servers. Assuming the hack is real (which isn't): you could have the strongest password, the best protection and you could still loose your account.

I can't do anything about how Jagex handles their network security but I can do my best to prevent malicious software from being installed on my machine and giving a hacker access that way. Hacking into a Jagex server directly is far more difficult than finding a legitimate password on an unsecured computer. That's what makes this list seem so unrealistic.

Uh oh I'm on the list, twice, with Owen1892 and owen1892. Should I be worried? I guess not, banked everything and got a bank pin. Better be safe than sorry!

Kinda surprised people are still bothering looking at this. You do realize it's a total troll, meaning they're doing it to get everyone worried for no reason. I'd like to point out that this crock has received nearly 500 views from our forum, over 40,000 on the originating forum, and has caused crap elsewhere too.

It's the Y2K of 2010.

Anyway, think we've had enough of this. We all have pretty much agreed that it's not real, and nobody cares. Locking.
