Sorry Gamer the first time I read it I thought "the" and "y" were different words, not the word "they"
Same thing for "be" and "cause"
So no spelling mistakes, my bad I should've looked at those words closer.

That's actually just the message system being flawed. There isn't enough room for the entire word to fit so it just puts the next letter(s) on the next line without adding in a dash/hyphen or whatever.

I ran this thing through a spell checker AND have Firefox checking it as I type. Also, last time I checked "should've" wasn't a word.

Hmm I'm not sure about that but the way I used it was wrong anyway I should of said "should of"
I think it's a pretty common mistake though

Wow if "should've isnt a word all my english teachers from all my schools have been wrong.

Actually you should have said "should have"
not "of".

I have no idea. I've never been very good at these things.

that is not cool, i lead a clan in RS and ive been reported for a michael jackson joke

yes, i know, i deserved it.

but really, i dont report people in the cc, if they get unruly they can be kicked. Jagex needs to cool it with the banning for jokes, the offense system is allready way to strict.

What the ****? The rules says I can't misuse customer support. I didn't do any such thing.

The rule states:

Quote:
Rule 10 - False Representations
Effective date: 15th July 2008

You must not misuse RuneScape Customer Support. This includes threatening or reporting an innocent person, supplying false information and abusing Jagex staff.

Related Questions
Below are some related questions which may help you to further understand and follow this rule.

Why do we have this rule?

As we receive many thousands of requests for help in a week, it is important we spend all of our time helping genuine players with genuine problems. Misusing Customer Support gets in the way of us doing this.

What is ‘misuse of Customer Support’?

Misuse of Customer Support is deliberately wasting Jagex time with dishonesty or offensive contact, whether in Abuse Reports, forum posts, account appeals, billing queries or password requests. Doing so can lead to Customer Support being withdrawn from your account.

How do I report this to you?

There is no need for you to report any breaches of this rule to us, as we have the facilities to identify and take the necessary action against anyone breaking this rule ourselves.

And guess what it says now?

You are permanently banned

WTF!?!!?!? Total garbage indeed!

I do not know how you even broke this rule!

I hope your offense gets appealed.

They've done this to me before. I just made an account fresh off Tutorial Island, and the next day it says "You are permanently banned". It said "Breaking rule 1", but 2 things.

#1. I didn't even talk.
#2. There is no evidence!

Then, I found out it says the name was offensive, but it was the name of a species of insect? I don't get how that is offensive at all. [-(

Eh? Go to hell Jagex, why does it always happen? I see no evidence of breaking rule 10 =/.

Clickbeetle. A click beetle is a species of bug that if you touch it, it flips around and makes a "click" sound.

Thank you for sending in your offence appeal - you obviously care about your account, and making sure that you read our rules can help to ensure that you can avoid this situation happening again.

At Jagex, we examine offences and offence appeals very carefully before we come to our final decision.

In this instance, we have found that you were responsible for this offence, and therefore the Black Marks you have gained will remain on your account.

We want you, and every other player, to be positively engaged in our community and the game - if you continue to break our rules, you may reach a point where you are limited to Quick Chat, or even excluded from the game on this account, or any other accounts you have.

What do you do now?

Go here to have a good read of the Rules of Conduct, there is also good advice on ensuring your account is kept secure in our Knowledge Base.

Have fun - enjoy the community and the game - and please don't spoil the experience of your fellow gamers.

Sincerely,

RuneScape/FunOrb Customer Support

...well then.

Thanks a ton Jagex.

EDIT: Does anyone know where I could send some sort of complaint or message to Jagex? They seem to have hidden their address and any forms of communication other than bug reports.

I swear, if gower ever leaves his house for 10 minutes so many people are going to kick him that he will be sterile.

Really stupid that you got banned, my friend got his blackmarks appealed because he put the entire thing in a written letter and sent it to jagex.

You could send a letter addressed as:

CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM
JAGEX LTD
11 Struton Street
Cambridge, UK
CB1 2SN

Of course you're NOT to mail them under any circumstances; however, what do you have to loose if you're already permanently banned.

They also have the 90 St Andrews House address but I think the above one is a better place to send to.

They have a few e-mail addresses but they're mostly for jobs, business, or advertising so I doubt someone you would want to read the mail would.
But you could send in some player submitted poll regarding your ban. XD (polls@jagex.com" target="_blank" target="_blank I believe, you'd have to check to make sure though)
Poll question: Do you think this is a fair ban? *evidence*
Poll answers: No, No, I don't know, Of course it is caus Jagex is FTW (ima suck up), and No

And btw: Pmods can't mute permanently and it says that when you're muted whether it was a jmod or pmod who gave you the mute.
