Woodcutting To 99. Help, Idea's And Discussioning-ing

ivy is the best exp in game, even better if you get sc axes. get in the 90's with ivy, then cut yews for cash. or just go for 99 wc with ivy, and get $ witha more effiecent way.

I cut Willow trees until I had 80 Woodcutting and used the logs for Firemaking and Fletching. Then I started cutting Maple and Yew logs until I had 90. Then I started cutting Magic trees exclusively.

My advice to you would be to cut Willows to get 80, then Maples to 85 if you want to train Firemaking or Fletching. Anytime in between, if you want some fast experience, get some clay hatchets, about 10, and chop Ivy.

Since you said you want to make decent money from Woodcutting, I'd start cutting Magic logs at 90 just because you will make 100k an hour.

I've been kind of inactive in Runescape recently, thus I'm a tad left out on these new updates. My main is at the moment 93 woodcutting, and I'd love to raise it to 99. I read several people talking about ivy trees which I know nothing of. Therefore, if someone would be kind enough to enlighten me, I'd appreciate it.

I'm about to reach lvl 90 Woodcutting and was wondering what to do next. I was also thinking of switching to Magics like you suggest.

Although the prospect of making about 42 mil from the 30.7K logs is enticing, the low XP rate is really putting me off. (Assuming I can cut at 20K xp/hr, I'd need around 384 hours of gameplay.)

Like you say, it's a decent amount of money but at what opportunity cost? Thinking out loud, perhaps Ivy to 99 is the way to go and use the time saved on other activities that yield higher returns than 100K gp/hr

don't look at how much money you'll make at the end.

lemme put it this way, you could get like 30m or 40m from fishing monkfish to 99, but it takes more than a month. same goes for yews.

i can easily make 40m in a week even without 76king.

try and make it so you can use the infernal adze... if not just cut teaks and hold lots of trading sticks and you and back your log near the teak cutting place. Good xp + fair money.

You do make a big profit off the seeds from bird nests. I made a few million from 94-99 at ivys.

IMO, Yews would be the best choice for your requirements. Good luck!
