I'm about to reach lvl 90 Woodcutting and was wondering what to do next. I was also thinking of switching to Magics like you suggest.
Although the prospect of making about 42 mil from the 30.7K logs is enticing, the low XP rate is really putting me off. (Assuming I can cut at 20K xp/hr, I'd need around 384 hours of gameplay.)
Like you say, it's a decent amount of money but at what opportunity cost? Thinking out loud, perhaps Ivy to 99 is the way to go and use the time saved on other activities that yield higher returns than 100K gp/hr
