While I played RS I had the split ON because it got too much of a hassle (sp?) To scroll up to see what a friend was saying. Yet it was sometimes hard to see the words, it was still fine.

I don't know why they even have the option to turn it off. It's sooo annoying when it's off. I miss every single message.

on because if it's off and you are doing something with alot of messages (merchanting, fletching, theiving) its impossible to see the friend message

I wish they'd make a button to toggle whether or not it tells us when people log in and out.

Always turned on.
It's almost impossible for me to see when it's off, specialy in banks and crowded places.
