RuneScape the movie? Should they?

Let's see all movies which were created and based on video games just failed, can't name all of them but I rembered one Doom, Silent Hill, Tomb Raider.

Well, to be honest, no one wants to shell out 5-10 bucks to watch someone hammer logs into chairs for hours on end. As an Rs player, I think it'd be cool seeing it on the big screen, but still. Another thing, "Runescape: The Movie" doesn't sound all that awesome.

Good idea, but once again shot down by reality. And Churros.

I actually don't know. I can name a few quests that I would like to see a movie of. The plague city multi-quest, for example, would be a pretty interesting subject to make a movie about. Think outside the box when you consider an idea.

That's what I was thinking too. They'd obviously need to tweak it a bit, but it would meet the criteria someone else suggested of each main character getting something new as they went (Crystal Shield, Crystal Bow, Iban Staff). I'd probably drop Roving Elves and have them get the crystal stuff at the start of the Mourning's End 1 part.

Of course if this happened, they'd actually have to finish the storyline.

as thrilling as that would be, i dont think some ppl will enjoy watching a movie of some warrior/archer/wizard go on a murderous rampage, killing people and taking their valuables :wink:

- Which of the following aspects would you like to see incorporated?
Quests? Skills? Traveling around the RuneScape world? Combat? Monsters? Player owned houses and dungeons? - Non.

- Do you think there should be movie merchandise? What would it be? - NAH. All merchandise there will be is $5 a month.

- Should the movie be animated or real actors? Why would that be? - Real actors. Makes it more real.

- Do you think the movie makers should sell the costumes used for the movie on Ebay? - NO.

In my own words, I think there should be the same time, mid evil times, Same places/cities, Falador, Varrock, Adrougne whatever. AND the same armor/weapons.

But I don't think there should be skills/quests, there should be like 1 big quest that they are trying to accomplish, which is not the quests in the game. Maybe they will be side tracked in one of the real quests but I don't know.

Fianlly, I do not think there should be one character. Maybe start off with a few and others will join you. (AKA Final Fantasy)

Well as Alex said there are a few Quests that wouldn't make a half bad Movie. Plague City or maybe The Grand Tree.

I myself have done Mournings end Part 2 *shivers* (I Think Mournings End Part 2 - The Temple of Light has to be the hardest most tedious quest without a quest guide.) And think it wouldn't make a bad Mini-Movie. Skills should NOT be used since as Dragon said it would be boring watching someone stringing 2000 bows.

I'm feeling sick and I don't think anything I said made much sense. :oops:
