I am concerned of how difficult actually getting to the blood rune altar would be. I mean, what if when you use the abyss to get there, it brings you to the start, and you have to complete perhaps 3 sudokus or something to get in for 1 trip.

What also concerns me is how much longer the abyss will proceed to offer this kind of shortcut. It's too easy now to make natures, laws, and deaths because people are learning through guides all the shortcuts and whatnot, and rune prices are everywhere.

Not that I find there's anything wrong with it, but I just have a feeling that the Jagex team might be starting to realize the quickness of the shortcut. They might even begin to altar it to stabalize rune prices.

And I think everyone knows what kind of result that can make ...

Anyways, bottom line, I put 'no' for the blood runes when you'd think I'd put 'yes' after saying all that. I just tihnk that something in the future may occur that would change everyone's opinions.

A clarification on what i meant when i said "Yes, just the thought will make the prices drop". under the third option for the poll
I meant to say that "Yes, too many people will think that the prices should drop"; meaning that too many people wont buy for the same price.

Hope this helped

Alex most rune prices are fairly stable, going up and down by 10 in both directions usually. More stable than yew logs..

Their price ranges from ~270 - 310 in world 1. That's 40 gp of variation. I'd call that unstable compared to most runes.

There's not going to be much of an increase or decrease in price. Same thing will happen to Soul rune making, except the level will be 90 Runecrafting.

And my best guess as to where the Blood altar will be, it's definetly gonna be in Mort Myre Swamps. So definetly everyone's going to use the Abyss.

I'll take a wild guess 70% of members in Runescape aren't going to have that level when it comes out, so there isn't going to be a change in anything.

Not to mention people will find natures easier money since you'll hardly see people buying blood runes, so natures is much easier to sell and for experience.

No, definetly no change in anything.

i beg to disagree, in the quantities that runes are traded in they are more unstable
minds are 15-20, thats only 5 each, but 20 is 133% of 15, 310 is only 114% of 270
airs are 12-15, 15 is 125% of 12
fires go for 10-15, 15 is 150%! of 10
Deaths go from as low as 250-350, ive even had people buy at 500 each, 500 is 200% of 250
Laws and nats typicaly go from 300-400, 400 is 133% of 300

I hope these statistics help you realize that runes are not a stable market, this is why there are so many merchants

I hope they don't drop, and I don't think they wil. But I'm not entirely sure, it depends on when jagex releases them to be able to runecraft (as it depends on how many people can craft them). I personally can't wait, because that is what I'll be crafting when they come out (unless I gain 11 runecrafting levels before then, which is likely because it won't take that long to get from 2mil xp (exactly) to lvl 91 rc, but who knows).
