State of opinion. Do you think we should have an enchantment that makes our weapons glow, or become more shiny? Perhaps even to reflect which God we worship.

If we worship Saradomin, our weapons glow.

If we worship Zamorak, our weapons are on fire.

If we worship Guthix ... we wield normal weapons.

But yeah, that's my thought. What do you guys think?

That actually seems interesting.

Maybe there could be a new quest that gives you a new enchantment or weapon of choice?

Something like the Mage Arena or Horror reward :D

It does sound cool. I'm not sure on the Mage Arena reward though, but a quest reward sounds cool.

umm.. I don't know I think that the weapons are good how they are.

but A new weapon that is on fire or something would be very cool!! :)

nah, if weapons got enchanted, one, they'd have a huge cost, and 2, they'd reflect the image of the god itself.

my ideas:
Zamorak: weapon is on fire. every successful hit deals 4 extra damage to your opponent and 2 to you.

Saradomin: weapon shines with white light. enemies accuracy is reduced by 3% for every hit combo. if you miss, they restore 5% accuracy.

guthix: glows green and steams like a fire giant's head. boosts your attack by 15% and lowers your opponents by 15%. in balence, raises opponents defense by 15% and lowers yours by 15%.

only one enchanted weapon at a time, or its set default to a specific weapon.
charge lasts for only 500 attacks, then destroys the weapon maybe?

Great ideas.

For saradomin it could possibly also have a 20% chance of disarming your opponent for 2 or 3 seconds. Saradomin would have no special attack.

The zamorak one could possibly a special attack that gives 15% attack and strength for a short period of time (maybe around 10-20seconds)

The guthix one could have a special attack where you get the (combat) stats of your opponent *only works on other players*.

The charge would of course have to be less than 500. Maybe around 300-400. The weapon would be destroyed if you didn't recharge at some dangerous alter with high level npcs guarding it. It would be members only and would require 5 more attack levels then the normal, uncharged weapon.

I like how you put down Guthix. I would have to switch around with Saradomin and Zamorak sometimes. Great idea.

I think the idea sounds cool. However there would have to be a limit to its usability. I'm not saying make it untradeable, but somehow limit how much usage you get out of it.

I think -my- idea on weapon upgrades and enchantments is much better. SLAYER BLOOD ftw.

Nevertheless I do think that weapons and armour should be able to be customized. Give the players of runescape a little variety.

this is an interesting one. would the glow look like a lightsaber like star wars because that would be bad. are there certain weps that are considered god weps (besides the god swords), and would the fire be like the fire from the firemaking. but swords on fire would be awesome it would be also cool that if when u get a hit on someone that it would burn them over and over again like the ddp++ does after u hit someone

I think that's a bad idea, they have to re-model all there weapons and make a clone copy of them and they have to go over each weapon and add glow or whatever to them. Even if this was a good idea, I think that Jagex will never do that because this will make LAG ++. Also for some of you that thinks that your barrow or crystal items degrading from 100%, it doesn't really degrade. Only replace the item with the 75% versions of it.
They are DIFFERENT item codes.
