Clan Tags?

Would it be a good idea if we could put a 5-6-characters tag right before our names? I personally think it would be a good idea for Clans who PK in big amounts, when you don't want to add all the clan in your friends list.

For those who don't really know what I'm talking about, the clan tag would be a little prefix before your name which would have a limited character numbers.

For example, let's say I'm Tidus_Jecht7, and I'm on a clan named sXe (totally coming out of my imagination). I decide that the clan tag should be ]sXe[. So, my name on RS would be

]sXe[ Tidus_jecht7

and everybody from the same clan would have ]sXe[ before their account names.

I personally think it would be a good idea, since I know there are ways to easily add tags to your name in many games so why not RuneScape. Plus, it is easily editable so you could take it off and put it back in whenever you want. I also think it is not a bad idea, even if some people might say it's confusing sometimes when you want to add someone (you might type Sxe Tidus_jecht7 when my same is just Tidus_jecht7) but maybe it could be in another colour than your name to avoid confusion, i don't know.

Well, I'd like to hear what you think about this idea, and if there's something that isn't clear in this topic, please let me know and I will make you understand my point clearly.

That would be a nice addition for clans but Jagex wouldn't do it tbh.

That would be cool, cept that people not in the clan would have the tag :\

Yeah, I thought about this but the tag would be more important during fights in the wild. And to avoid this, it could be even better if you could edit the color of the tag and decide it right before the fight. That way, there shouldn't be any confusion between people in the clan and people trying to do as if they were in.

Properly better as a right click added option, would make the chat look odd.

Sounds like a good idea to me. That way you can identify your clanmates especially when Pking.

That would be a really good addon. I think it'd also be nice if Jagex just added a Party feature completely, but hey clan tags would be good too.

No "tags". Would look like WoW. And anyone who has played it will agree.
Maybe a "check clan" option, when you right click.

Still, people can come to the fight in the wilderness, edit their tag to the clan's tag and then run from the fight!
Then the clan will be called "runners clan"
Anyways, this suggestion needs some thinking

Yeah people would be able to tell the idea was taken off Wow, and if the clan name was put next to the name it would make it too long, especially while talking in chat.

What I always thought they could do is do away with the uselsss thing next to the person level saying how many options they are away, and replace that with the clan name.

Its just a stupid idea.. Think from jagex's side.. You couldnt just let members add to a clan, then people would add themselves in DI or something.. And jagex wont make clan leaders special powers in rs. Then it leaves jagex, i think they have enough work already then to mess around with a idea that dont help much.
