Is RuneScape ever about luck?

Yes.
90% of the combat engine is pure luck, which is why I never used to PK, and prefer not to do PvP games. Sure, your stats play a minor factor in the outcome of a fight, but one can have 99 attack and still hit 5 0's in a row...

EVEYRTHING is based on luck! Even with for instance, high attack, you have a chance of hitting a zero.

All drops are luck except constant drops like bones or ashes. :/

Considering the way it can be viewed, then yes... Thinking of a very experienced player killer that turns out to be a failure will be considered bad luck. :wink:

Yes because getting a certain drop from a monster is luck. Also what you hit on the monster is luck (Not counting hits because of your strength).

I consider myself unlucky and lucky... I once lost my whip in the Abyss, and then picked up 136k airs off the ground, which, at the time, was 2.7mill, the exact price of the whip.
