i would agree with anubis... mining needs an overhaul.we've got a graphic change, and a 10% chance of minign 2 ores instead of one... thats only really helpfull when mining runite, or maybe adamant. the rest is not really effective in terms of monetary gain, and none of hem is effective for exp gain. imo, we need a dragon pick finally... with a strength requirement to use so no bots can use it. secondly, we need a miniing minigame.
i sorta think a mine shaft opperation would be cool...you could either mine away the walls and put it in carts to be distributed later or take timber beams to brace the cave from falling. it'd be dark in cave so you need a lightsource, and randomly, the flames from the lanterns and candles could light beams on fire, which could destroy the mine. thus, you need people with water buckets to extinguish them, and then you'd need to replace the burnt beam. its sort of like the fishing trawler of mining, except your personal effort would effect how much you got... you're bing hired by the dwarves remember? and standing around doing nothing does not look good on an employee effeicency form
other random things to protect from: smoke: while a beam is on fire, players take 1 damage from smoke inhalation every few seconds, like in the smoke dungeon. cave ins: if a beam breaks, or burns down, the area surrounding it might colapse (3 x 3 area), and players nearby will take damage and be forced back. damage here does not result in death, but the more you take, the less your paycheck, because you're too much of a liability.
in the end, you'd either get a random sum of ores, based on your mining level, like the ourania alter. so it could be any ore, but higher level gives higher chance... or, you get a paycheck ish thing with points on it, which which you can buy ores from a store. store has infinite stock, but only accepts the points.
