It's actually possible that Jagex listened in on your conversation. It's happened to me and one of my friends that was stupid enough to talk about selling an account on RS.

So don't accuse your friend, I doubt he did anything.

As with all players that come onto boards like this and complain about "unfair" treatment, we only have your side of the story to make our own judgements from.

You were not found guilty of just one offense, but 3 on the same day and from 2 separate categories :roll:

Don't blame your actions on that of your "friend". Take responsibility for what you did, learn from it, and move on.

Your friend didn't necessarily intend to report you. If he reported someone else for anything around the time you said that, he would have inadvertently sent Jagex your "joke". This happened to me once when I reported a bunch of macroers, not realizing that a friend was saying things he shouldn't be saying in my private chat :roll:

This is most likely the case as I would bet if he is your friend is would not report you for just saying something over private chat. I mean we all say things to a our friends we wouldn't say out loud...at least to real life friends...and people you've known on Runescape for a long time. I think that is just the nature of the beast...it is still better not to risk it.
