 Post subject: Looking for a good Video Editing software.

What are some of your favorites? What do you recommend.

I am not going to be using CGI or effects or anything like that. Just something that gives video a clean and professional looking edit.

iMovie on OS X
iMovie on iPad or iPhone (if in a pinch and you need to trim something down or combine before uploading)

I know on Windows that Movie Maker has improved a little bit. If you want something that looks more professional without hand holding go for Premiere Elements.

alot of people say sony vegas is pretty user friendly and easy to use for those new to video editing.

Sony vegas is very intuitive and has some effects. Camtasia (from what i've used) is really user friendly but lacks in any real effects.
