Msn hasn't been working for me since I bought this computer about 2 months ago. Well it did work with one of the oldest version, with no profile message or picture, so I tried to upgrade it, that's when everything got messed up. I tried downloading windows live messenger but couldn't sign in. I tried different versions but they all failed. Any help please? You can post links here and Ill try to download again I guess, thanks!

Here are some pictures...

Image Under "Show Detail", it says Code Error: 80004002

Next attempt...downloaded a 8.5 Windows Live messenger NOT from msn.com, finished installing and such but won't open after I clicked it.

That works but I would like the normal messenger though. Thanks anyways, if all fails, this will do.

Try this:

Quote:
* Go to “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Windows Live\.cache” and delete everything there.
* Download the Windows Live Installer
* Install it
* If it fails to install go C:\Program Files\Common Files\Windows Live\.cache
* Find a file called “wllogin” in one of the folders and run it.
* Find a file called “Messenger” in one of the folders and run it.
* Run Windows Live Messenger and try to sign in.

Let me know if it works.
