Multiple Questions/Help Topics

Okay so I have a "very good" wireless internet network. I have a laptop that I'm using currently to access the internet and type this question to you all. I also have a desktop computer and a PCI card adapter for my desktop. The card holder was used in one of my other computers and I just took it out and installed it into this one. My desktop is saying it needs the internet to be able to know how to install the new hardware. Although I can't access the internet without this piece yet.

Questions:
Is there anyway I can connect an Ethernet cable to my laptop and desktop so that my desktop can use the internet until I get the PCI hardware installed?

I no longer have the cd for the hardware so does anyone have any ideas for that? in case I can't use my laptop as a modem.

Is there anyway I can just switch a few setting on my desktop to allow it to use the hardware?

Just Google the brand name and model number of the card in question, and you should find drivers for it. Download them, then transfer them to that desktop with a USB key, or whatever your favorite method is. Install, and enjoy.
