Currently I can't appear as Available, only Away, Busy, and Appear Offline. I will switch to Busy/Offline, and then switch to Available, but it switches from Green to Orage (Away) almost immediately after I hit it. Can anyone help me out? I've signed out, and back in and it still doesn't work. I've closed all MSN windows, and it didn't help at all...

Also, when I sign out and I see the little area where it says "Sign is as..." I chose Available, and it still goes to Away when I sign in.

I know this isn't a huge issue, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried reinstalling MSN? Or repairing the installation using the Windows Live Installer?

You might be doing something else that is causing WLM to think you're away/busy. Try opening WLM when you first start the computer. If it allows you to remain as 'online', you are probably running something else that makes WLM think you are either away or doing something else.

I've found that doing anything full screen, or inside of a seamless Virtual Machine will change WLM to say I'm busy or away.

Yes, I have.

And I don't know why MSN was doing what it was, but I went down to the little MSN person in my taskbar (or toolbar, whatever it is down in the right-hand corner of the screen) and right clicked it and hit Exit, and it fixed the problem just fine.

Thanks for all of your help, guys.

Lock please.
