Yes. There is a good music maker called Reason. It has MIDI support (if u have a MIDI keyboard, u can plug it in your computer and use that). And has 100's of included sounds, instruments and other synthesizers that you can make music with. And there is another one called FL studio.

Here are the link to both of them:

http://www.flstudio.com

They aren't cheap, but if you are serious about beat making, then it's money well spent.

Cheers, daifn0

I was really into beat making for awhile. I have both Reason and Fl studio 9 (legit versions ;) ) so if you have any questions, feel free to pm me. As for fl studio, you can find TONS of tutorials on youtube, as well as download their free trial.

The downfall of using fl studio, is that it only comes with a few sounds..unlike reason. If you were to get both, you can actually "rewire" reason into fl, so you can use all of reasons sounds in fl studio which I do quite often. I personally love the patterns in fl, but the sounds and midi-support in reason. Fl is much more user friendly, while Reason/Cubase/Logic/Nuendo/etc. are all the professional ***** that can get pretty complicated. If you looking for just some fun, I would def suggest fl studio.

Can fl studio be used without a MIDI keyboard, or does it need one?

Cheers, dafin0

One more recommending FL9 . Very user friendly, not hard to learn and believe me, you'll waste some long hours with it.
