[Guide] Guide to Soloing K'ril (Zammy Boss)

Have any of you ever wanted to try to solo a God Wars dungeon boss? Well, here's the guide. I will be explaining how to kill the Zammy boss efficiently to obtain his rare drops such as a Zammorak Hilt, Godshard, or even a Steam Staff!.

Update people have been telling me that the bug with the range and Mage no longer works. I have yet to try this but I will later today and let you guys know about it

Recommended Stats

Attack Level 80+
Strength Level 80+
Defense Level 75+
Hitpoints Level 90+
Prayer Level 70+ (Piety recommended)

*The higher your defense and hitpoints level, the more safe you are. K'ril can hit over 50, so you'll as much defense and hitpoints as possible.

Information on K'ril and his Guardians

K'ril is a massive beast. He is level 650 with 255 hitpoints! He is immune to ALL poisons and his max hit is up to 53. If your pray melee against this beast, which is the best strategy, he will use his special attack, and hits through your prayer. His special attack can hit up to 53 and if he hits over 30, he will also drain that many prayer points as he hits over 30. He is a servant of the Zammorak god.

Also in the chamber, K'ril has 3 Guardians which each use a different attack style. One Ranged, one Magic, and one Range. These are not as bad as they seem. When killing the boss, the mage and range guardians will no hit you if you stand in the correct spot (explained later)

The WalkThrough



This is the recommended equipment and inventory. If you are going for your first time, you may want to swap fury with glory, rune boots & dragon boots, Karils & Black D hide. You will always want to wear a Ring of Life. Make sure all you prayer pots are (4).

ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ARE WEARING SOMETHING ZAMMY SO CREATURES ARE NOT AGGRESSIVE

How to Get to the Dungeon

- Tele to Trollhein and walk northwest (near the rock-throwing trolls)
- Run past the Trolls, MAKE SURE YOU ACTIVATE RANGE PROTECT!
- Either push the boulder or squeeze through the tiny hole just east of the bolder.
- Once your past that, run to the "!" on your map and enter. (If this is your first time, you will need to use a rope on the hole to enter.)
- Once your in, run straight north to the ice bridge.
- You've made it! Now jump across. (You will need 70hp to be able to jump the bridge, your prayer will also be drained to 0)

TIP - (If you want 2 extra sharks) Get all your pots out and ready and "2" sharks. Tele to trollhein and drop them so you can re-obtain them when you tele back. After dropping them, tele out via Glory, Dueling, etc. Now with a full load of sharks, tele back to Trollhein and pick up the 2 sharks you dropped! (you will have 2 empty slots because of the troll tele.)

Getting Your 40 Kills

Sadly, you cannot just enter the boss area. You will have to kill 40 Zammorak creatures before you can open the door leading to the boss. This is very easy though. After crossing the ice bridge, walk to the east area. (North of the boss door) you will then see 2 imps, and many Wearwolfs, Bloodvield, and Spiritual Mages wondering around.



You may kill any of these creatures, however killing the imps and wear wolfs will be best because they will not hit you very often, leaving you more food for the boss. There is a NPC Killcount Counter in the Top-right of your screen telling you how many you have killed. If you are a lower level, you may want to drink a super attk, Str, and a sara pot to make killing a bit faster.

TIP - If you have extra prayer before crossing the ice bridge, you can you use protection prayers and piety to get a few, quick kills in the main area without taking damage. But remember, you need 70hp to cross the bridge.

The Boss

Once you have 40 kills, go near the boss door. (make sure not to accidentally open it as you lose all your kills if you go through) TAKE A DEEP BREATH. This is it, time to pot up and get what you came for!

Pot up in this order
- Sara Brew (Defense & HP)
- Super Restore (Restore stats from Sara)
- Prayer (1,2,3 doses depending on your Prayer level)
- Super Attack (Raise Attack)
- Super Strength (Raise Strength)
- Super ANTI (To prevent the 16 poison K'ril can hit you with)



Ok, now you ready. Enter the arena and TURN MELEE PRAYER ON. attack K'ril (ignore the guardians) after attacking him, RUN TO THE NORTH-EAST CORNER! If you did it right, K'ril and the melee guardian will follow you, leaving the mage and ranger behind NOT being able to attack you.



Once settled in, Turn on piety. Pull out the DDS and special him then re-wield your whip. Make sure your attacking K'ril and not the guardian. K'ril will only be able to hit you with mage and his special attack because your praying melee. He rarely mages, and it normally doesn't hit above 20. But BEWARE of his speical attack, it hits around 5% of the time and almost always hits 40+ so just be ready.

Things to do while fighting K'ril.
- Always keep an eye on your prayer! Don't let it fall below 30!
- Be ready to eat a Shark
- You can only use the alter once every 10 minutes. (cannot be in combat)
- Make sure your not poisoned
- Relaxx

After taking down K'ril (congratz), kill the melee guardian that was under him. Pick up the drops and SWITCH PRAYER TO RANGE. Walk over and kill the ranger first (Black) then the mage (Red) Collect your drops, and run back to your N-E corner. If you have enough supplies, re-pot and eat untill full health and kill K'ril again.

Q: When you leave the Boss area, do you lose your kills?
A: Yes, when you leave, you lose all your kills.

Q: When I right-click the alter it says, "Teleport", what does this mean?
A: You will tele out of the boss area and end up in the Zammy area.

Q: How often do you get a rare drop from K'ril and his Guardians?
A: I tend to get a rare drop from K'ril about 10% of the time. From his guardians however, are very rare, maybe 1/400. However, the guardians have a high rate of dropping 3 sharks that may lead you to kill another K'ril.

Last picture, you said "so it's definitely" without finishing the sentence

Also, you can not be in combat when attempting to pray at the alter,

-If you super-restored, then 2 prayer pots will bring you from what you were to full (3 doses bring you from 0-full)

-Trollheim, not "Trolliham "

- "that much prayer points" "that many prayer points"

- *The higher you defense => The higher your defense

Pretty sure that's it. Just small spelling and grammatical errors, everything else in the guide rings true

Also there has been a lot of posts like "nice guide helped me a lot"- So I'd like to remember back to the sticky:

I can confirm for you that mage and ranger WILL attack you, wherever you are in the room.

Saves you the trouble if you want, feel free to go ahead and test it anyway however.
