By the way, Newb or Noob aren't words. The proper term is Newbie. So that proves that the people who call others Newbs are either lazy, establishing their point, or are too stupid to figure that out.

newb and noob actually are words if you google search for em.
i consider the word "newb" to refer to the person as low lvl or new to the game.
"noob, n00b or N00b" on the other hand means stupid.

usally ppl call ppl noobs cuz they think theres no diff.

a few points

1. Don't generalise the level, it may offend people here who innocently train at rock crabs and make them feel like if they ever do find you they will say this.

2. It may be your fault partially, like when a crab spawns it auto attacks somebody and you are to lazy to get one to yourself and steal theres. I followed somebody who did this to me numerous times through around 6 worlds before he figured out what the ignore list does lol.

3. I agree that calling people noob isnt right basing judgement on combat and not on niceness.

4. I agree with the rant king just point out your own good skills to shut them up not many people, including me, would expect a level 41 to have 60 magic and ranged no offense but it would shock me to hear it for the first time.

I don't mean to accuse you for anything, just giving my opinions, dont ruin a discussion if u wanna flame me, just PM me lolz

I know how you feel. But I've found something even more irritating is ironically levels 40-50-60's going on and on with twenty questions everytime I do something... :cry:

They never listen though which explains why my ignore list is near full and my friends list is very much empty. That and my trade status is always "OFF" :cry:

Yeah I am level 3 yet I have more total exp then most lvl 90s I come across.... And I always get called a noob..... I hate people that base Newness on combat level. I have had a lvl 97 call me a noob then I told him my stat lvls and he said BS... So i showed him my 4 santa hats, 100 runite, and 116k rune ess. The guy just shuted up for some reason.. hmmmmm

Sorry i know this topic is old but i had to disagree. Most lvl 90's have 1200 + skill total. And so far the only lvl 3 i know that is 1000 + skill total is Zzzamorak (sorry for intruding privacy).

i hade some lvl 41 asking me for money and following me around---if he wanted money so bad he could go and get up a skill e.g mining and get the money!

mike i had some thing like that 2 i was in varrock sewers getting up my range to 60+ and some lvl 30-50 guy started to call me a noob not for using addy arrows then i said y do i need addy arrows when im training on moss gaints then he called me a noob and ran off---

I see where you're coming from at judging who can be called a "newbie" by their levels and knowledge, but to me that seems stereotypical.

I've had some other people at the fishing guild get angered at someone who was level 60 combat and was winning a debate against a level 100...I told them that how you act takes priority over combat levels - of course, they didn't bother with a counter-arguement. Nothing but silence came from them.

People who call other people noobs are simply ego-maniacs, really. They have no way to back up their arguement, they just want to call someone a noob because it makes them feel superior.

Quite pathetic, if only those people would realize the error of their ways...

im sorry but the cold hard truth is, newb, with a ew not oo, is based on knowledge and levels.. nothing else.. its a fact.. its like someone going through boot camp in the army, they are newbs, cuz they are new, and arent fully trained like those who has already done boot camp.

on runescape, if your lvl 20, your a newb at least by your stats and combat level. but you might have the knowledge of a lvl 120 for all i know..

i created a pure today hes 13 combat - 21str 6 attack -
when i was at giant rats for meat i seen some lvl 10-30's discussing about the max lvl i seen : 136, 99, 999, 200, 226, 150, 250 and so stupid things then i said the max lvl is 126 and everbody there called me : noob noob noob noob noob : !

i really hate it when people call you noobs because you won't accept their offer for whatever you're selling.......like the other day, i was sellin laws for 500 ea, and this guy comes up and offers to buy 200 so i put up 200 and he put up 70k (when the price is supposed to be 100k), he said he wanted to pay 350 ea....so i declined and said no, so he called me a noob, i hate it when that happens
