About Account Selling

Many people, and I have even seen a few on this forum, sell their Runescape character for Runescape money. While this does not violate the rule or "Trading for real-life objects", it does violate the rule of "Account sharing is NOT allowed". Below is an answer to query sent to Jagex.

Remember that any account selling will NOT be tolerated on this site, and that the person who does it will recieve multiple warnings for violating forum and Runescape rules.

Erm..shouldn't you just stickie this then? Aparently they can use it to steal accounts via ip as well..might wanna add that.

If Zezima offered you his account it would be because somebody hacked it and is giving it away...and you meant accept btw

If anyone offered me their account i wouldnt accept it.. I work only for my accounts. I dont scam or anything.. All my stats and everything i have done by myself..

Stickied. People actually talked about how their account has been stolen by their friend using their character, when they know fully well its a violation of the rules...

Its actually done through the secret question recovery system, because you can recover your account by an questions they've ever had. This is a method introduced by JageX to stop people from not only selling accounts, but buying them also.
