Maul upgrade, feed back please

But i suppose the fact the lvl 80 worked for a nice high def, att, str to beat a level 50 doesn't matter because he worked for strength!!! You don't even have a point there.

Whips are a lot more costy then a maul..you can't even compare them.

It's stats show it's supposed to be a low lvl weapon. -.- You can't argue with that or it's like claiming a bronze long is good! 75 slayer? You need 50+ to get hold of mith boots which need 20 defense..doesn't mean there made for a level 100 does it. Again whip and maul aren't even in the same league so you can't compare.

so +81 to crush means its a low level weapon? the maul is just a large, slow, hard hitting rock on a stick. because it lacks in speed, it has to make up in power, thats the only way to balance it out.

If you think it's crush is good..why on earth are you suggesting it gets improved? So you can three hit again? Will NEVER ever ever happen.

YOU just basically said 81+ crush is good so you just proved yourself wrong..it is indeed powerful..no need for an improved spec lets keep it as a low level weapon. If you still wish to argue it's not a low level weapon find me twenty level 100s using them.

no..its power is good..but its max hit need to be raised again, restore it to its former glory..it wasnt a bug that caused the high max hit..you dont let a bug like that go on for so long without banning several people

Maybe they did ban people. The maul was supposed to hit twice..not three times. It was a bug.

I've tried to avoid this subject but it seems to gotten to a point at which it cannot be avoided. It looks like too much fun

As far as I can tell, and this is simply my views, as I've held them since this whole issue began, long before this post. Yes, not mine, your post. The Maul's problem WAS the special. The problem was the strategy used. The Maul's special is/was a *quick* blow. This used to also be a very high damage special. I see many level 70s trotting around carring their big rock popsicles. Now tell me, does it make sense that a level 70 could 3 hit a level 90-100? I say that because of the tactic. You're viewing this in the duel arena...what did you think the wilderness was like? A bunch of these "Maulers" where parading around...no...not in full armor. Monk's robes. Is this your former "glory" you were speaking of? Wait, did they lose their maul if they're quick cheap shot didn't work? No...of cooooourse not...they used the protect item prayer! And they're strategy? Run up, stike the first blow, then use the two specials in succesion.
Let's see...
Initial blow (high assuming they used a potion)
Special (High on it's own, added by potion)
and the other Special (High as well)

This could well total up in 70+ damage.
Now...should a level 70 be able to do that in a matter of...
5 seconds?
No lag time between the first shot and the specials...
A person could well wind up in Lumbridge before they could
look up from picking up something off the floor by their computer.

ppl, who cares about a maul? i've beaten a lvl 93 guy who had a maul when i was like 80 with a dlong (i have a movie posted somewhere in rsb&b jungle) maul is slow, but can hit high, dlong is way faster hit medium, so everyone, forget about the maul, just get yourself enough cash for a whip/dlong/ddagger and dscimm, that's all
and if you wanna be soo realistic then watch arrows, 1headshot with a bronze arrow and you are dead like julius caesar

yes! the arrow thing too! the game needs to have realistic physics! and im boycotting jagex till it does..untill then..me and my friends are gonna make home made swords and mauls and swing em at each other, video tape it, and show jagex how weapons are supposed to work! <-----[has clearly lost his mind by now]

You do that, I'm sure that'll get Jagex to change it.
Show them a video of one of you getting an arrow
in the forehead, that'll get them to make it more realistic.

Try looking for it in real life first.

yeah...or 75 fletching when you started using rune arrows? and if it keeps up like this..we shouldnt be using bloods to pk..as we cant make em yet.

and i know my last post seemed abit odd..but ithought some humour might add abit.

lemme clairify what im still fighting for:
i want the mauls max damage to be raised back. and i also want a hard hitting spec that could be used as a finisher yet still drains the full bar.

I personally disagree and i think that it should be downgraded if anything. I mean look at it, rangers were powerful with mage short when they could do 2 snapshot. People complained because rangers were way to good. Well this is the same thing practicly, so what if its slow, you can spec and hit 20's at a relitivly low level of strength, and 40's or so (i think) if you have god strength, well thats practicly the same amount of damage a double snapshot from a bow would do at 99 range. So i think it should be changed much like the magic special so it takes 55% of the bar.

I only hit a 21-22 nat with a dragon long and my strength is 82 i think..that just shows how strong it really is.
