I said I'd make a post, so here goes...

They'd be soo cool. Thanx CreepyBacon for the idea.

They would hav to be rented tho. Zezima would get 1 free lol.
You could set requirements too.

Any ideas or comments????

Hehe one of my top five changes i wanted to runescape. Sadly as it's been said..wouldn't be possible. Still i love the idea.

jagex's servers are hosted thru http://www.theplanet.com

take a look at their prices.. some servers cost up to $900 a month if not more..

As much as i would like to have a rs world to myself, i would have to decline, it would be boring.. Unless i had the option to invite a group of 50 people.

If you had your own server, it wouldnt need much space or bandwidth...just enough for the game and you, also a few friends...Not much money at all....I think

No, because there wouldn't be anymore unity in RS. Think about it this way:

- No one to sell things
- No one to buy things
- Lonely all the time (only friends could get on)
- Probably no highscores (too many servers)
- No wild (no one to attack)
- No need for rares (no one will see you wearing them)
- No real success (who you gonna show your accomplisments to?)
- No competition (who can beat you on your own server?)
- Hackers (single servers are easy to get hacks/cheats/mods)
- People will have to pay for RS other then membership.
- Jagex's earnings will go way down because all the money that went to membership would then go to server cost.
- They wouldn't be able to update every server for new updates because of expenses and too many servers.

This and much more are the reasons why this is a very very bad idea.

What he means is you have your own world, not a whole different game. So there could be hiscores, and just switch to a public world to buysell things. You can still chat with friends through PM system.
