Recent Email!!!!!

I have recently created an email address for use solely with RSBANDB forums.

Today I have receieved an email to this address claiming to be from jagex asking that i verify my account details.

Therefore, somebody on this forum is sending fake emails out in an attempt to steal accounts. Please, everybody be aware of this and if you do recieve emails from staff@jagex.com delete it immediately!

You should NEVER open emails claiming to be from Jagex, and Jagex will NEVER send you emails.

im not giving the address out for security reasons

however, lets just say that im currently fpting a html to their address that will stop this from happening in the future =p

I also got an email saying that it was from 'Jagex'. It said something about RS 3! As if RS 3 would be out and it not say on the official site!

I hate scammers!!

i've gotten an email from jagex inviting me to a christmas drop party, had complete details and everything. unfortunately i read the email after the 28th (day of drop) and will never know if it was real...

It is vitaly important that you do not read or reply to any mail claiming to be from Jagex! Remember that we at Jagex will never contact you by email and will only send messages to your inbox. This is done for your safety! Therefore, anything appearing in your email inbox claiming to have originated from ourselves must be deleted immediately!

i got an email from sum i , i dont remember the email adress but i get it about every 2 week and they says so dude was up, there is an attachment when u open it up there r 4 keyloggers in it the first time i opened it luckily the person stinks at makin key loggers cause when u open the dirrectory [ uncompress folder] it takes u 2 were the keyloggers r they r jsut hidden so u have ta scan there and the second time i just deleted it. i have 4 good buddies on this forum and within 2 days of eachother they all got the email also so sum 1 is sending keyloggers from this forum maybe the same person as yours cause we r signed up for no other forums

If I had 1gp for every time someone has tried to scam another player in runescape I would be the richiest person in runescape. Anyway remeber Jagex will NEVER send you a message via e-mail they will always use the message system that they created for runescape. For the soul purpose that no one would get scammed like that.
