I started going through Call of Duty: World at War on Veteran difficulty again last night. I was at the one level called Relentless, and kept on dying on it and game up. I got bored last night and thought about the campaign on CoD:WaW and that I didn't finish it on Veteran. So, now I've gotten through all levels but Breaking Point, Heart of the Reich, and Downfall. I'm at the end of Breaking point, and it was pretty easy. The only part I had trouble on is the part when you come out of the bunker under the ground, and you have to run up those stairs. I died like 50 times right there.

Also, has anyone else beaten Call of Duty: World at War on Veteran?

By the way, I'll be saying my stats for the levels I've beaten on Veteran, and how many deaths I had on it. (I write down the number of deaths I had for that level when I finish)

So, here we go.

Makin: 2 deaths

Little Resistance: 1 death

Hard Landing: 8 deaths

Vendetta: 17 deaths (14 were from the damned sniper)

Their Land, Their Blood: 21 deaths

Burn 'em Out: 61 deaths (I kept dying at the last part because CoD:WaW is unfair with how many grenades they throw at you)

Relentless: 24 deaths

Blood and Iron: 3 deaths

Ring of Steel: 5 deaths

Eviction: 7 deaths

Black Cats: 0 deaths (Throw a Six and a Half achievement unlocked)

Blowtorch and Corkscrew: 41 deaths (The last bit with the huge bunker is annoying...)

Breaking Point: 31 deaths

Heart of the Reich: OVER 9000

Downfall: Unknown

The stairs is the hardest part on Breaking Point. Its easy if you keep killing them then wait for them to be in low population and make your move.

Heart of Reich is easy except when you get to the stairs to the main central building. When you get there clear out the two buildings then enter the one on the right. Find a sniper rifle somewhere and stay on the ground floor. When you enter the right building on the left there should be a window on the left side. Stay behind there and snipe out of that window. They will hardly hit you and grenades won't come in. Watch the left side of the stairs until the guy with the flag moves up behind a tree pot or w/e. When he moves up again that's when you move up to the right past the car, next to the Sergent. Wait for the pillar to fall and game over, your done!

Downfall is absolute ***** at the start, just stay at the back and kill the long range gunners. Other than that, have fun with it :D

I dont remember. I usually just play the campaign on easy or normal, cause I am not a big singleplayer fan. But my friends have said that veteran is very hard by yourself.

Yeah, NGW said that part was the hardest on Breaking Point. After that it was cake. :P

Heart of the Reich is a *****, dude. I'm stuck at the first two 88s. >.> I'm watching NGW's Walkthrough of it on Veteran. They finally finished it.

Thanks for the advice for HotR, I'll try it out if I can get through. xD

And NikeBalla, you don't unlock the achievements if you play Veteran on Co-op. >.>

EDIT: I BEAT HEART OF THE REICH! ONE LEVEL LEFT!

Not looking forward to Downfall. At all.

I couldn't stomach the bad campaign to do it. I made COD4s cause the campaign was awesome and well made.

This? Put it this way i threw a ton of smoke grenades to get across an open area where lots of soldiers where, died and the game helpfully set up a checkpoint, in the smoke, where i got gunned down almost instantly every time.

So basically; GTFO Tryarch

I tried it for about two hours. It was probably the worst gaming experience of my life. It's not fun at all. Every Jap gets 50 grenades, and they all throw them directly at your face. Not enjoyable. So no, I didn't finish it on veteran.

But what did such a Teuton afterwards look like when he had been "improved" and led into a monastery? Like a caricature of a human being, like an abortion: he had become a "sinner," he was in a cage, one had imprisoned him behind nothing but sheer terrifying concepts... There he lay now, sick, miserable, filled with ill-will towards himself; full of hatred for the impulses toward life, full of suspicion of all that was still strong and happy. In short, a "Christian"... - Twighlight of the Idols

Rofl. You really hate this game. The campaign is clearly better than COD4's. Go kill your big black one armed terrorist now.
