The sandbox wasn't used as 'lets go in this forum, relax and have some discussions about things too casual for the Non-RS forums'. It was 'lets go in to this forum, put other people down constantly and act like total jerks'.
Also, good job missing my point, which, in fact, has nothing do with spamming.
I'll quote the first few lines of your post for you, maybe you should read them:
Quote:
In PhoenixEmpire's topic in Non-RS discussion which was about the importance of discussion value, MQ said that a more relaxed way of discussion would only cause people to desperately raise their post count. That is true, though, but why do we need post count? It only brings competition, and through competition, spamming. Many people post short and rather useless comments all the time, just to raise their post count.
In the end, post count doesn't even bring renown on the forums. What does it really do? If you post a lot in short time, people will only think you're a spammer. What REALLY brings renown is what you post, not how much you post.
Fine, I'll clear it up to you if you find it that hard.
First: Go read the thread made by PhoenixEmpire in Non-RS discussion (the one that was instantly locked)
Now do we really want to keep on the subject so strictly all the time? No. So why won't we fix it? Because people would spam to get their post counts up!
So how to fix it? Remove post count.
There. As simple as I could make it. Nobody should have trouble reading it now.
The first lines are only to prove why post count is useless, making it no trouble to remove it.
