How much does gas cost were you live??

Americans are not used to paying $3 a gallon, thats why americans complain that they're high...

Yes, but most of them also aren't used to walking more than 50 feet per day either.

The environment? Tell me what type of environment requires most middle-class households with 2+ children to have an SUV? If people are going to buy needlessly large vehicles, they can stop whining about petrol costs.

My 8th grade Social Studies teacher has a huge SUV and two kids.

She does say that it uses lots of gas, but it keeps her kids safe.

Buying an SUV is just a matter of choice.

(I wonder how much gas we would save if we all rode motorcycles?)
