Jagex is not the one to blame here, Alex 43 is.
He agreed to follow the rules and broke them so actions should've been taken against him.
I know that perm muted is a hard punishment but you should've known better then to say a URL on RuneScape.

The punishment is probably a little bit harsh being permantly muted but the point is you broke the rules. You should know better not to say urls in rs anyway.

The costumer support team want to look good for Andrew. How can they do that? Get through all the millions of reports/queries as fast as possible by banning and muting randomly and automating replies. Doing that the boss likes them and is really nice to them, making them happy. The players being banned rightly and not for no reason doesn't make them happy. Eh, that could be a reason, lol. If I was Andrew I would watch their actions for a week, not telling them. If their banning wrongly- fired.

This is the second time is it not? You've been temp muted before.

Breaking rules winds up like that, tbh i'm glad to see their taking such a ferm stance against rule breakers and not backing down, in the long run it helps this game, just think before you type in future.

They probably made that decision based on their mood..I bet you just got the stricter of however many Jagex mods look through the reports too. People name sites all the time.

That sucks though, really sorry to hear that.

Jagex hates high levels. once you've been a member for 1 year+ and are 90 cb +, they WANT to bann you and let noobies take your place. my main got a PERM bann for saying "go limewire that song". i had never gotten a black mark.

whateva... jagex should atleast look over if banns if you've been a player and member for a considerable ammount of time if you ask me.

Or no one reported you. My sister was banned for 3 days once after reporting someone for saying "runehq" once because no offence was commited.

Oo, good idea. The best way to keep customers is to randomly mute and ban them and then just send automated replies nonstop. You should run a business, you'd get millions of users just like RuneScape has.

Alex broke a rule, he paid the price, while it may have been harsh.

When people say they were unfairly banned, often times they were banned for breaking a rule they did not know existed. Same for unfair mutes and black marks among other things.

Of course, no one is perfect, so mistakes happen and go uncorrected. This is not a case of this, so complaining about Jagex in this case is uncalled for.

Trust me, you wouldn't have that attitude if something like this happened to you, even though you perhaps follow the rules to a great extent. It happened to me. I knew the rules, I followed them, but unfortunately, I was unable to prevent myself from trying to help someone and they back-stabbed me.

However, I'm a firm supporter of second-chances. We all have our potential, and shouldn't be judged on a single incident.

I agree with Alex. I have got 2 Black Marks for breaking rule 1 or/and 11. And the only website I mentioned was 'RuneScape.com(e)' I can't see the evidence and Customer Support aren't helping at all, I really think they employ idiots.
