2 Realms

I realized that RuneScape is actually 2 realms...

1. There is the land realm.
2. There is the underground realm.

All dugeons are connected in RuneScape. Just like in Castle Wars if you stand all the way on the side you can see another dungeon and I dont mean the one where castle wars actually takes place. and in legends guild dungeon if you stand near the shadow warriors you see a spit of white land on the mini map.

You can also see the old KBD lair in a dungeon which name escapes me at the moment.

Two layers, not two realms. More than that if you wanna count runecraft altars, abyssal space, Zanaris, and other such places.

They put it all close together to save server space. Ladders teleport you, you don't climb straight down. Go to the ess mine and stand in one of the little things, you can see what looks like the nature/air altar.

Zanaris is part of the underground....runecraft and abby space too. Cause like spyder said you can see nat altar from rune ess mine

It's all on the same level as far as im awere. Just seperated by blackness.

Well I found this thing strange about rune ess mine, at one end to where the portals are I always see a location detcted outside the mine on my mini map. By this I mean outside land.

I just wondered if any1 had any idea where this place is?

I'll post a pic soon when I can.

Red circle shows the land outside. I wonder where that is..

Creepy might be right, too...you never know if it's two layers or just seperated by a lot of blackness..

Yeah I noticed that too. Its quite fun in fally cos you can talk to people in completely different upstairs of houses.

I would think creep is right just to save space in the programming so there isn't s ton of lag all of the time while your computer tries to load the massive world all of the time using up valuable computer memory...

I think if you stand at the extreme edge of some of the runecrafting alters you can see parts of the others on the mini map..

I would agree, but then how would you explain climbing up ladders, going down a second level, and so on? Is climbing down from a lower level realm teleporting back to the main realm, just climbing down? And is there another one when you climb upstairs?

No, it's teleporting you to another location in the same "realm" or "layer." Actually, I don't know. I'm querying Jagex right now. I'll post there reply when they answer me
