Do you need to be in legends to get dragon shield half drop?

Pretty sure you don't have to. I remember someone showing me a half sq the day legends had come out. He said he hadn't done the quest but I had no way to prove that he did or not.

No, you can only purchase it in the Legends Guild or get it from other players .

Left Half Shields are very rare drops (quite frankly you can get them from anything but you have to kill alot of the monster)

Right Half Shields are only bought in the Legends Guild Shop at 750k, or lower from other players.

No. You just need to be in Legends Guild to kill Shadow Warriors, which have a very rare possibility of dropping a Left Half Shield.

From what I've heard, even Banshees and Rock Crabs have a small drop possibility

no you dont have to have done the quest to get the left half as a drop.
yes you do have to complete the legends quest to weild a full dragon square shield.
anything that drops gems has a slight chance to drop half keys.
anything that drops hal keys has a slight chance to drop the left half of dragon square shield.
^all this has been stated by jagex in the past.
so technically a chaos druid could drop a dragon left half if your extremely lucky :wink:
