I dont think jagex really punishes members that much, because why lose a paying customer? Money is everything.

Meh, if jagex doesn't punish member scammers, these guys are going to make more P2p players stop playing, because once you get scamed, most likely you sick of the game and people

i agree much harsher punsihments are needed but if you ban ip addresses what will happen if your sibling shares that comp. thats y i am against banning ip because many ppl share comps and 1 person shouldn't ban the whole comp

"she didn't look, and non of the full are full, the kid took 5 mil from offer, she got scammed"
Thats just plain careless. She had to click accept twice, and dident notice that the other trade window was empty. Scam no. Giveing the wrong impression that she was giving alot of good items away yes.

Ouch, that is painful, and a really sad story :( :(

I got scammed out of a set of d weapons (d long, b-axe, hally)

Person offered a zammy kite, I looked carefully, examined it, accepted. Other person refused, said oops and traded again, offering a plain rune kite, accepted and disappeared after getting my stuff. I didn't notice until it was too late. Needless to say, I hate scammers!!!!!!!

Scammers are just noobs that cheat their way to the top, getting rich and etc. Most likely, people level 50 - 80 with full gilded or dragon chains, sometimes full god armor, are usually scammers. At least 45% of the people I've seen on members and freeplay are scammers. I'm sorry about your friend, but I do agree, no matter what circumstances, weed isn't going to help, and in fact, smoking weed just adds to the stress and the pressure. It seems like Jagex are not even caring about banning scammers asmuch anymore. So far, I've reported at least 30 scammers, and not one, did I get a message from Jagex that the scammer was taken care of. Banning Accounts is probably the best way to take care of scammers for right now, until somebody comes up with an idea to ban more scammers.

The trading system in Runescape is simple and safe. You have 2 windows witch give you an option to accept, or decline. 1st window decide witch items are for tradeing. 2nd window is to see exacty what your receveing and giving before the trade takes place. No changes can be made in the 2nd window. Read the second window carefully before you accept. If it looks wrong decline. Simple!
Only under the rare circumstance that an outside program interfers with the trade would they see fit to ban. Other then that you trade at your own risk. 99% of scams happen because of stupitiy on the "victums" part.

This is what happened to my friend

Her friend died in real life, and her clans sucked,

and the tip of this

some idiot from runescape scammed her

offering her full guthix and full black gold and 5 mil for her full sars

she didn't look, and non of the full are full, the kid took 5 mil from offer, she got scammed

so, she decided to smoke weed to relieve pain and stress,

and she was one of the friends that laughs most of the time.

I'm writing a letter to runescape to deeply punish people who scams!!!

last word from me, don't smoke, there are people will help you. He/she might not be ur friendlist, but you'll find them. JUST DON"T smoke!! It's the worst thing u can do as a living object!!

I told her rather cry than smoke these weeds. she tried it, but no, the pain is too much.. now she is in it..

PEOPLE!! don't you have some heart!!!! why do you scam poor people like my friend!!! YOu are A KILLER !! A MURDER!!!! THESE SCAMS CAN EVENTUALLY STOP RUNESCAPE from running, and then MY FRIEND WON"T BE like this!!!!!

WHY, you scam!!

the third option is to leave them alone
they should bann both

Hmm......an interesting thought......perhaps if rs gave scammers (people who have been reported once or twice for scamming, but not yet banned) certain badges of shame that could be seen by everyone but the scammer, it would provide an avenue for the victims to be more aware of the predators. Granted, the scammer can make another account, but that would take time, and keep him off the street that much longer. just a thought...

thats actually a great idea, nox, but if the account is just banned then that wouldnt happen neways. hmmm....

I think that once someone declines a trade that they initiated, they cant trade for another minute. this might help, idk.

I had a better idea but i forgot it lol
