2 years after launch NCsoft has finally released a demo version of their latest mmorpg. interested in picking it up or curious about the game's mechanics? give it a shot.

v2.5 just hit, adding a graphics update that leaves things looking kind of clay-ish to me, but distinguishes it from other games.

retail itself is massively race imbalanced, though, so if you decide you like the game, either pick a retail server that isn't on the list of race imbalance incentive programs, or pick a private server.
for anyone who already has a game account, retail's next "free week" is june 3rd-13th.

was never interested in that game. some of my guild wars mates did, but not me. i have enough games to occupy my time, and i don't need another.

It is very much so a friend dependant game, and as with most MMORPS, the time you dedicate to it is collossal. they've at least improved the drop rates substantially from when i last played retail, and made a lot of daily/repeatable quest options for aquiring good gear if your luck is *******. I still personally wouldn't play retail again unless my guild's entire core was coming too (50+ people), and they'd have to release a new non-transferable server , because games are only fun if played from serverlaunch. I might play on the reactivation week just to test differences between retail and infiniteaion (been so long since i saw a creep with a patrol route D: )
