One of the greatest franchises ever is back and looking like what assassins creed *should* have been. Can't wait. :D

Sounds and looks awesome.

I love cel-shaded games, but I've never been a fan of PoP. I rented the 3rd(or 4th) one for the PS2 a little while back and was really disappointed. I remember that I really liked the first one though... My problem is that they've always kept the exact same formula for the game, just revolving around a different story. Maybe if they add in some new element to this one, I'll get into it.

Hm? They did add a new element, the ability to travel through time. :P That was never in the original POP games.

This game will be unrelated to the old series, new character, new story, no time traveling ability's..so i guess in away they removed apart of the formula.

Still i trust these guys to make it decent but i liked POP2 when everyone else hated it so yeah, i doubt I'm ever going to dislike the series. XD

Sorry, I meant the PS2 games... I liked the first one for the PS2, but didn't like the rest. I like God Of War better though, even though they're both very similar.

Seemingly an entirely new game, with new storyline, character, control style and visual style, so why ruin it by calling it "Prince of Persia"? I hated those games. They just were too restricted as opposed to games like Creed, or even Zelda, where yeah there was a set story line, but if you didn't wanna do it, there were loads of other things to keep you entertained for a short while, like a sandbox element to Creed or the minigames and side quests to the Zelda games.

Because it wasn't a sandbox game?

It was an action adventure, those tend to be very liner. Either way this one looks set to correct your problems with it.

I don't actually think sandbox is always the solution though, creed would of been a better game IMO if it was more prince of persia style, the free roaming sandbox wasn't very good..very repetitive..very little to it. :\

I'm getting a bit ahead of myself but if you check the video out above and see the female role, shes attacking and has some magical ability, i think it'd be cool if they threw in co-op allowing one player to be her and another as the prince. That would make things really interesting.

Looks ok, Ubisoft better not hype up another one of their tittles and let it disappoint on it's release (Assassin's Creed anyone?).

Love the series, one of my favorites of all time. Own every game and I love each one (Even number 2) :P Can't wait for Heir Apparent and I have never played a cell shading type game so this should be interesting for me. I am assuming the art style will be similar to Okami.
