So what is DMC4 about? I've never played any of them, so what is it about? Can you tell me about who Dante is? Same with Nero?

I really want it, the graphics are awesome, and the demo was intence.

Is the storyline any good? I'm probally going to buy it this or next weekend I hope, if I get enough money by then.

Is the storymode any good? Does it stick-to-the-plot?

It's biggest flaw is the back tracking.

You play level 1-11 i believe it is as Nero, not much is known about him as hes new to the series, the story is revolving around him mainly.

Then from 11-20 you play as Dante. That's fine if it wasn't for the fact Dante is only there to back track through all the levels you did as Nero cleaning up the mess as it where. From level 18-20 it's original levels again i think.

I know that sounds bad but it's not to bad, you're playing as a completely different character and that is a big change in DMC, makes the game feel fresh and you really don't get bored of it (at least i didn't - and i hate back tracking) + monsters have changed, the story carries on and there are a ton of things different on the way back it also gets original near the end. The story is superb, voice acting is some of the best, hell even there facial expressions are scarily decent for a video game.

As for what it's about, The story in DMC4 is Nero investigating an assassination on his holiness who was like a religious icon where Nero lived. Dante assassinated him. The story evolves from there, don't want to give to much away it's best to see it for yourself but this also gives you a few good hints but leaves you guessing:

That's played at the start, no idea why but it's like the story summed up with no spoilers.

Alright, thanks Creepy, planning on getting it tomorrow. Is it hard at all? And which difficulty thing (Human Mode, and such) thing should I start on first?

Achievements don't stack. So you're best going on human mode. + Your stats carry over to other difficulty's so if you start on human you can upgrade your character a bit before you hit the harder difficulty's.

As for is it hard? Eh..I've found it a big pain in the back side on Dante Must Die (hardest difficulty) but other than that it wasn't to bad. Hell and Hell mode will probably be very tricky.

yea the game is decent tho the replay value is low other than on the xbox for it's achievements and what not tho good graphics and easy control handling make it an overall decent game to play. just like creepy said it's a bit repetative with playing halfway thru the game then backtracking to the begining with a different character who's play style is a lot different than the starting character's.

ending was ok tho left it open for another game in the series as seems to be the usual these days tho i'd definately get into the series more meself.

Yeah, probally #5 will have a scene of Nero and "Whatshertoes" kissing, I really wanted to see that :( (I'm a sucker for anime love scenes :o)

But I'd like a little more backround on Nero though on DMC4, and possibly a little less repettitive gameplay too.
