I was wondering if I could gather a group of people large enough to help me gain some of the Halo 3 achievements like Mongoose Mowdown, Too Close to The Sun and oythers which require a free for all ranked playlist game and would be relativly hard to achieve on my own.
Thanks

Sounds fair to me, but like i say we'd need a big group to be able to get some of them.
Here's the ones I need:
Two for One
Too Close to the Sun
Triple Kill
Overkill
Lee R Wilson Memorial
Used Car Salesman
We're in for some Chop
Killing Frenzy
Steppin Razor
Mongoose Mowdown
Up Close and Personal.
There is 6 or 7 more but i'll see about getting those if you guys are up for a long session
Thanks

You can't use parties to get most of those, because they require Lone Wolves. MNTB can be done in any ranked game, however. What you need to do is keep playing until you end up with a group of people who agree to complete achievments. So, luck is required.

There's also a way around it. Get a group of your friends and tell them to switch their language on there Xbox to whatever you want. Let's say, Spanish. So now that every set their language to Spanish, start up a Lone Wolf game and go to "Settings". Set it that it only matches you with people of your language (Spanish). Also, make your that you "prefer" all of your friends, to further increase the chances. That will increase your chances of getting a game with your friends going.

Maybe Next Time Buddy can be done in Rumble Pit, just go in with a group of friends who will let you get it. However don't boost for Ranked FFA (Lone Wolves) achievements because that demonstrates a lack of skill. They are called achievements after all, and cheating to get them (language settings) is a bad idea. Most are pretty easy and you will get them just by playing over time.

By the way, if you cannot get these achievements legit - Lee R Wilson Memorial & Up Close and Personal - then you do not deserve to be playing Halo.

Hey theres a way this can work. If we change our Halo 3 language settings to something not many people use like Polish or Korean, there is a high chance of us finding each other in lone wolves.
Problem sorted, just like pl0x said.

It's not "cheating" bungie came up with the stupid idea of making a lot of luck based achievements. Skill my foot. Three sword kills in a row? Lol? It's luck, it's about being in the right place at the right time.

Nothing wrong with boosting them IMO, i got the grenade kill and the 10 kills in a row achievement legit, cause those take skill. But hijacking a vehicle, double laser kill and the quad kill are all luck based over any form of skill.

With that said, locked at the authors request.
