Anybody else had tried the demo of the game yet?

I really enjoyed just driving around and finding all the hiding billboards and crashes. I had a lot fun with the demo, I'll be looking towards the game in January.

I'm honestly not a big racing car games, I'm just noot plain good at them. Even though I suck at all racing games, I actually had some fun with this.

The graphics are wonderful. The shadows, everything is perfect. It's a very nice game

It was terrible for me. They've trashed Burnout.

Free roaming doesn't always work. Burnout was ALWAYS about the racing through busy citys, doing stupid stuff.

Now it's crap. They've stripped out a TON of the old burnout features, they've ruined the take down system because it's idioticly easy to "spawn camp" your rival, which is just bloody frustrating, it's also completely random as to who gets taken down if you're going head on.

Can't take anyone down from the behind.

Yeah, anyways, nice work EA you've messed up another title the one racer i could tolerate. I found myself building up speed constantly in BOP but i had NOTHING to use the speed with, i couldn't do any stunts cause there was none around, i had no goal cause i wasn't in a race so the only options was to break or hit a wall. Wtf, anyone that played the old burn outs knows you don't break when you've got speed you do some more stupid stuff and try to get even more speed to win the race.

Ruined, IMO.

edit: It would seem I'm not the only one who hates it:

In fact, to make a response like that the feedback they must of got must have been rather..large. His ego, anyway gets in the way he seems to think hes making the game for himself and his co-workers over us, the people that are supposed to go out and buy it.

Wtf gtfo Creepy. I loved the demo. Loads of events and secrets, the city is huge, graphics are sweet. That game seemed perfect to be, except for the fact that you can't crash traffic the way you could in Revenge.

I want to play it, does it look any good?

From Slimpoo's signature, I get a good description about what it looks like, but how does it play?

It looks fine, it plays fine. If you've played an old burnout, think that with everything stripped away and in return you get free roaming. (y)

Yes, exactly. That game started good and went to crap as well, you're right. You think they'd learn.

Yeah, Burnout was pretty much the only game that was fun as it was, but maybe now it'll be a little more fun with the free roaming, but then again the free roaming stuff gets boring, fast.

But, let's hope Burnout doesn't go down the crapper like NFS :\

It looks and feels great but plays terribly. I'm totally with Creepy, they ruined the Burnout series. Burnout never was about free roaming, it was about the smash mouth race style. The openess of it is horrible, the cities seem bland and there is no exploration element. Compared to Test Drive Unlimited, this is horrible

What Creepy said was in the old Burnout games was the essence of it all. And free-roaming is too much like NFS.

I liked parts but I will miss the Crash Junction 'race' style.

That was always fun, purposely crashing to get a big score ... Yep.

The free roam is good, but they should have left everything else in, not taken away things to put in the free roam.

Given the choice ... The old ones were definately better.
