Yeaaah, my Mom got it for me for Christmas. She let me open it early to. She has this thing where she buys the presents early and she kets me open them a week later, she feels that it "wastes the gift.

Annnnyways, it's a great game, I loved the campaign. I can't see why people would dislike it. Such a great storyline and I love how you switch be tween England and USA (Your characters name in England is awesome xD). The Multiplayer is even better, I love it how you can customize your weapons and have different camo. Though, I hate the lack of online achievements.

Well, I trying to campaign on Veteran and it's quite a challenge for me. Charlie DOn't Surf was quite hard in the TV station, I started to doubt myself. Then I figured out a good strategy by staying behind and snipeing people out and let my Marines take care of the straglers.

I was very happy when I got to the next level, Bog. Did good, untill the tank part. Unlike the TV station I'm actually protecting something other than myself. I always manage to get picked off, or I do really good, but the tank still dies. I've tried staying behind the wall and sniping, no good. Staying behind the tank didn't work either.

So yeah, the point behind this whole essay is for you tell me strategies as I go on campaign and just plain talk about COD 4. I'll tell you as I get farther and all that. Thanks.

Call of Duty will perpetually remain the king of war simulators. Their intense firefights and numerous "Oh snap!" moments will give you an epic feeling you have never felt before.

I have played the single player PC demo, and, I must say, this has to be the best Call of Duty yet. Go out and buy it; it is the must-buy of 2007.

I'm playing it as we type, unless your talking to the people who don't have in which I would have to agree with you.

I am talking to everyone. I have played every single Infinity Ward developed Call of Duty game and there aren't many threats to the throne. Call of Duty is still pwnage.

This is the only Call of Duty Game I've owned. Although, I did play Call of Duty 2: The Big Red One and I had a blast. One of the main reasons why I got Call of Duty 4.

Big Red One was, however, developed by Treyarch, not Infinity Ward.

Just so you know, Infinity Ward developed the very first Call of Duty for PC, Call of Duty 2 for PC/Xbox 360, and Call of Duty 4 for PC/PS3/360.

The previous-gen console versions were all done by different developers. Call of Duty 3 was made by Treyarch because Infinity Ward was busy developing Call of Duty 4.

Oh, and by the way, Activision has already announced Call of Duty friggin' 5!

Oh, I never knew that. Still, same game and it's a **** good game. I think I played Call of Duty 1 once, but it might of been Medal of Honour. I reall never was interested in the WW II FPS because so many people made it and I'm glad COD changed to Modern Warfare.

And yes, I knew about COD 5 aswell, I'll be sure to buy it.

Edit: Took a break, went back and did it one try. I blew up a car and stayed behind it, apparently it worked well.

Hey if your on now, I can go online and talk you through it. I've just completed it on Veteran and I set out my own strategies, and they all work!

I love CoD4, except when i'm playing badly.

I seem to go through phases where i'm completely useless, and ones where I get 3 - 4 times my deaths.

Completing Veteran was a huge pain but well worth once you finally get those last few achievements. The hardest two levels I think are the end of One Shot mission and the No Fighting in the War Room mission. And if you want a real challenge go try Mile High Club on vet.

I can't really give you specific tips since I just kind of figured out the best ways to go about each mission, the biggest part other than skill is just a good amount of patience.

Although I did find a really helpful site with walkthroughs for each section of the veteran campaign, it really helped me out with some of the harder parts.

That site is kinda helpful, but for some parts its hard to follow what he's doing. Especially as the guy doesn't die at all in most levels

I agree that Call of Duty 4 is somehow strangely more difficult than its younger siblings...

Perhaps it's because the fighting is so intense that it's hard to tell who's the enemy and who's on your side.

I am getting it at the end of the month, since I do not have any money now.

Ironically, I told my dad about the COD4 PC demo, and he bought it for himself for Christmas. xD

He won't let me play it though. He says I'm "not mature enough." wtf.

My internet went out for day, wtf xD.

Got that one mission where you find Al-Asad and it's pretty hard. Two hardest missions so far were War Pig and Shoke and Awe. Shock and Awe was only hard at the part where you rescue the marines. It was pretty hard for me.
