And it is Dungeons and Dragons Online?!?!

Opinions?
Has anyone tried it?

Its not truly free. Its more like RuneScape free.

It's OK though. Although I highly recommend paying for your MMO.

It's only recently become free. It was subscription based and failing rather badly. I hear it's doing better now it's gone free. CBA to try it myself tho

I'll never download that, I like runescape's style over WOW for some reason and and this looks similar to WOW gameplay wise.
Edit: Edited due to my post making no sense at all when I read it again

If you guys stop being biased fools and actually consider the game, it would be nice. I hear it's actually a pretty decent game, although I don't have the time at the moment to get into it. Seems to be worth checking out.

Rather harsh. Perhaps people don't want to download such a large file for a game that isn't appealing to them. Or maybe there like me and don't like the idea of a game that's run from Microtransactions.

Perhaps, but when people go "wah it's not RS I won't try it" that's not a valid reason.

Aside from the fact nobody even said that.

there will come a time when you do in fact give up on runescape. don't believe me? it will happen. for me it was running out of content to try. qp cape blah, achievments done blah, fire cape blah, barrows blah, win tournaments blah, do boss raids blah. There wasn't anything left that could keep me going day to day, and grinding skills with no new content rewards at the end of the tunnel just wasn't worth it.

for you maybe it'll be reaching max combat and getting tired of the pvp, or growing tired of grinding 99s on that skiller and seeking something mroe relaxing. but know this, it will happen. and when that happens you'll leave and find another game, and fall in love with that for a while, or not.

I'm like a nomad now. i find a game i like and stick with it for the better part of a year till there's nothing left interesting enough for me to go on with, then move on. I played Rohan: Blood Feud for around 8 months and got a nice pvp intensive experience in a game where pvp was fairly balanced and character builds could varry extensively within a class. it was a pretty good f2p game, won some awards for being great. playing Aion: the tower of eternity now, a p2p game that i like quite a bit. planning to stick around on this game for at least 4 months total, more if i find nice variation with my first alt on the enemy faction.

a tip for finding a game you like: try playing a game from its launch. then you're just as in the dark as other people, and the economy fluctuates with you as the server levels up. you're also likely to meet lots of people that are on your level, and won't "come back on my main and destroy you" just give it a try. you might like a new game but just not want to try it because you're so focussed on your goals in your current game. dont' worry, your current game will always be there to come back to if game Z doesn't captivate you.
