Sky Player

Ho humm incase you didn't know it's been released. I've managed to watch some Sky news for five minutes before the whole thing packed up and died.

It's rather funny that the countrys largest digital tv supplier can't handle the influx of XBL members and considering the service was launched yesterday and they had to take it down because it crashed -everything- and today they've been releasing it in waves across the country and they've STILL not got there act together makes it worse.

Still with that said i had a really smooth connection, no pausing, no loading it played instantly and the picture quality wasn't any worse than a normal SDTV. The pricing is a bit up the wall tho and i understand why but it's still rather meh. I'll be subscribing for a month just to test it but currently your looking at £15 for a basic package of less than 15 channels and a lot of those being rather crap. Then theres other channels on top of that for extra..if you want it all your looking at £50 a month. Sorry £55 a month including Live.

Wouldn't really say it was worth it right now unless you already have Sky and just want it on your xbox, then it works out a lot cheaper. Still skys promised to add more channels as time goes on and if they follow through with that and add to the basic package without charging you more..it could become worth it.

Once they get their **** together I'll sub for a month and get a good idea of how it is. Anyone else managed to try it yet?
