Which two games should I get?

I 100% agree with you about CoD5. It is extremely overrated, and is so similar to CoD4 you can barely tell the difference.

I haven't played Saints Row 2 but I can tell you that Gears of War 2 is worth every cent.

Theres honestly hardly any difference between CoD4 and W@W

Gears of War 2 online sucks, but campaign is good.
CoD: Waw online is good and so is campaign.
Saints Row 2 isn't as good as GoW2 or Cod: Waw.

And IMO to all people who say onlines sucks, you either suck at it or dont have the right connection for it.

I almost always have a good connection, and the gameplay is VERY balanced. The only time it is unblanced, and lags like ******* is when people lagswitch, which is being fixed in the next patch.

Both of those are Epics fault. They made the stupidest mistake you could when it came to multiplayer and changed just about everything, then threw in random tweaks which resulted in very unbalanced crappy gameplay. In gears 1 the only real issue was host advantage and the shotgun, the rest was very well balanced.

Epic tweaked all those weapons, nerfed the shotgun to the point where it wasn't useable, threw in some of the worst weapons I've ever seen with the unpredictable flame thrower that'll either murder you in a second or just not work, the mortar that isn't as hard to aim as they imagined which = very over powered + it fires indoors which is idiotic. hell they added in all those heavy weapons which was all wrong and simply do not work well with the old fast-paced tactical gears.

They threw out the map designs from gears 1 (symmetrical) and went with random throw **** everywhere maps which leaves you far to out in the open far to often for a *cover* game with so many new weapons that will royally **** you over in a second. HELL they couldn't even leave the origial maps alone, they tweaked those and made them **** too.

And connection? Every other game can make steady decent connections, Epic just blow. Best guess is you get host, despite what they say the advantage is still there and still noticable, if you find yourself mopping the floor with everyone, it's thanks to the advantage.

And this rant was bought to you by someone who likes gears of war 2.

And i still say you buy it and SR2.

edit: OH and they removed the stun, the stupidiest **** idiotic most RETARDED move i have ever witnessed in a video game before. HEY GUYS, WE'VE GOT A NICELY BALANCED CHAINSAW..LETS REMOVE THE STUN. Good job, what exactly was wrong with how it worked before hand? Oh and the punch-shot with the shotgun, yeah, in gears 1 if you tried it and got caught you payed the price in gears 2 you can go wild and not be punished, at all, ever. Stupid uneeded tweaks like THAT which screwed the multiplayer over big time.

edit edit: Not repying to your post because we'll quickly get modded for being off topic I'd just like to nail my point home by saying theres nothing balanced about sitting in the middle of the map spamming a weapon that will one hit you. The problem with heavy weapons is you often don't need to move, they kill so fast you can camp fairly easily.

Always seem to work for me. I must agree that thing is overpowered as hell.

Heavy wepons make you think twice about where you go. Those things are ment to be powerful and yet slow, thus making it balanced.

I do notice less cover, but theres still a lot of cover everywhere. Some of the maps are a bit open, but do you really expect to be peices of ruble everywhere?

I NEVER get host. I always have someone else host, even if Im the party host I almost never get host. I'm just a beast at the game IMO.

With everything you just said, I agree. As they are planning to fix all problems with patches unlike GoW1 where they just left it alone.

The thing is a bit overpowered. I concur on this point.

Factoid: Atleast 5 out of the 8 people who voted for World at War have not played GoW2.
Factoid 2: Atleast 5 out of 9 people who voted for GoW2 have played both.

Thanks everyone for your votes. Gears of War 2 is the game I've decided to get.

There's nothing wrong with Saints Row 2, or Call of Duty: World at War, it's just I was really looking forward to Gears 2, and kinda forgot about it.
