Spore is a single player PC game. Basically, you create a bacteria sized organism, that then becomes a more complex,intelligent, animal sized species that takes over space. The game is split up into 5 different stages, or phases: Cell, creature, Tribal, Civilization, and Space. Each stage is pretty much different from the rest. You win each phase by reaching a quasar in the middle of a galaxy and fighting a large NPC race. Once you reach the space stage, you pretty much control everything and can do whatever the hell you want Apparently there are also some optional missions each stage, which unlock new abilities.
This game will pretty much be out everywhere by tomorrow. This is a must-buy for me.

It does look really cool. I'm not sure whether my crappy computer will be able to handle it, though.
