I got an email telling me Fallout 3 is available for pre-order and scheduled for an October 7th release. Does anyone plan to pre-order it/ buy it when it comes out? I usually don't pre-order games but this may be an exception.

Can't say i know much about the fallout series, only that it's an old IP that's been bought by another developer, so the third isn't made by the same people as far as i know.

I also know the way you set up your character and things is pretty cool, you start as a baby and make your choices from there, to growing up till you become an adult.

I'd have to see, hear more about it all..seems like theres very few details going about the place right now.

I read an article about this in GameInformer (as many other people probably did). Playing a RPG where the world is in nuclear disaster sounds pretty cool to me. I was getting tired of fantasy-type stuff anyway.

The combat system (where you can hit different sections of larger enemies), and the weapon customization stick out in my mind after reading the article a few months ago. Definetly going to be renting this one in the future. :)

I read up on the Fallout series on Wikipedia. Actually looks like a pretty good game. I'm going to look in to it when it comes out.

I'm surprised I'd never heard of it before.

Yeah, there is a game only edition, CE Edition, and a Survival Edition that is exclusive to Amazon.com and I don't think it's available in the UK.

The CE goes for $79.99 and comes in a Vault Tech lunchbox and inside the box is a bobblehead, a making of the game DVD, and an art booklet.

The Survival Edition includes all that the CE includes along with a life sized Pip Boy that acts as a digital clock. This bundle goes for $129.99

Also, the game is being developed by Bethesda and any fans of Elder Scrolls will probably love the game.

As long as it has more voice actors, less weird facial contortions, better combat, and more variety in the scenery than Oblivion did, I'm fine with Bethesda. :P
