Creating a new character
1. First off you need to create your charater on the main page click on to the "Create a free account (new user)"
2. This will take you to a screen where you can decide on a username this will also be the name of your character.
3. Once you have done this you will have to accept the Terms and conditions, once you have accepted you get to choose a password make sure that it is different from the one you use on forums. Just in a case the site is hacked you will have no trouble from looseing your password to the wrong people.
4. Well done you have created your first character and are now ready to play the game of runescape. Click the button play game
5. Firstly you have to choose what detail setting you would like
High detail :- With sound and with more graphics included
Low detail :- With out sound with out some of the graphics
6. Chooseing your world it is alot better if you choose a server which is closer to where you live if you live in the united kingdom you would choose worlds that have the united kingdoms flag next to them, this will help you lag less and run the game alot smoother.
7. A new option was added where u can choose the world that is most empty at the top there are 2 buttons 1 for f2p (free to play) and p2p (members) if you do not care what world you play click on one of these buttons.
8. Once you have clicked onto the world of your choice it will load the graphics and sounds required to play if a message from jagex appears asking you to trust jagex do so choose always this is because jagex need to put files onto your computer to make it load alot faster compared to the first time. Nothing bad can come from this jagex is completly safe.
9. When the game has loaded choose the button existing user then enter your user name and password then the button login.
Well then now you have created a new character and are ready to explore the vast world of runescape, BUT do you think you are ready to jump out and run around talking to people making new friends fight monsters this is all easy to learn and thats what the Tutorial Island is all about let help you through this then.
Tutorial Island
VERY IMPORTANT!!
You cannot die on tutorial island take this to your advantage. You can get up to lvl 3 on all the skills you are taught so stay at each instructor till you are lvl 3
1. When you have logged on you get to choose your appearence click on the different arrows to changed you characters appearence.
2. Once you have chosen your appearence click accept.
3. When you have done this go talk to the guy with a yellow arrow above his head he will tell you about how to talk to people but you have already world this out by click on the guide.
4. When u finish talking to the guide you will notice that the arrow goes to the door then to your first instructor. this is where you will learn how to create fires and chop down trees. Keep following her instructions and follow the arrows and keep cutting and burning logs till lvl 3.
5. Fishing and cooking time follow her instructions and the arrows and keep at it till lvl 3.
6. Keep following the arrows intill you have to enter a new building speak to the master chef there. when you are talking to him you will learn that there is more to cooking than just cooking those fish he will give you flour and water. Click on the water then click on the flour, this will make bread dough use it on the range hopefully it will cook instead of burn if it does bun speak to the chef again and he will give you some more.
7. click on the harp icon in the corner this will tell you about what music is being played if you are on low detail just click on it and continue through the door.
8. A new icon next to the music one is now available it is the player controls area you can use emotes and change between run and walk,also if you are attack the auto retaliate will attack back if this option is left on.
9. Now run to the next arrow and speak to the quest guide he will tell you about the many quests that can be done on runescape, now go down the ladder.
10. Mining time he will teach you how to tell which ore is on the rock by using the option "prospect" the first rock contains tin the second will contain copper. Now speak to the guide and he will tell you to mine it then smith it by getting 1 of each ore and click on the furnace.
11. Once you have some bronze bars you can use a hammer from the guide to make a dagger. Now leave this area by following the arrow.
12. Now its the best part combat melle and range. you will introduce yourself to the guide when u first talk to him. Keep talking to him he will give you a sword and sheild he will tell you to go kill a giant rat. REMEMBER you cannot die so stay there as long as you want well till you reach lvl 3 in the attack strength or defence skill. Once you are ready go speak to him again and he will teach you archery equip your bow and arrows and kill a rat again then you can leave.
13. Follow the arrow again and the new guide will teach you about your bank, aswell as a few ways to get some nice amounts of gold pieces in your pocket
14. The new guide is all about prayer and friends and ignore options ALSO remember that there are other people playing this game and insulting them can hurt people's feelings just as it would be if you told them face to face.
15. Magic time and we are nearly finished, talk to the magic instructor he will give you some runes and tell you how to cast a spell on a chicken once you have hurt the chicken or stay till you are lvl 3 this can be done by droping the rune on the floor to get more from him. Talk to him when you are done and you are given the option to go to the mainland its recommended you get to lvl 3 in all the skills you are taught first before you go to the mainland.
16. Welcome to the world of runescape you are taken to the courtyard of the lumbridge castle.
17. If you need any more help remember to speak to the lumbridge guide who is just out side the castle where u started.
i know its a bit long if you see anywhere u can shorten it or give more detail in a better way please help...i think i go tto carried away with the pictures hmmmm ideas please..
