Start Point: Horacio in Ardougne
1. Talk to Horacio, who is located at the gate of a mansion that is just South-East of North Ardougne bank. You'll be more than happy to help him get a jade vine for his gardening. He tells you to talk to wizard crompty for help in transporting the root cut from the karamja jungle. Wizard Crompty is located on the far East side of Ardougne.
2. Wizard Crompty needs your help in getting a package before he will help, so he sends you over to the RPDT to see what the hold up is. The RPDT is located to the South of Ardougne near the docks.
3. Talk to one of the workers in there. It turns out they have a smelly package that they aren't allowed to open, so go over to the table and open it. You get a wizards hand (this is not of use during the quest, keep it for a bonus reward after the quest is finished). Talk to the worker again and they will send the packages that have been held up now.
3. Go back to Wizard Crompty and he will tell you that you need to make a pot lid (you have to make one at this step or it will be the "wrong size") then to go talk to Garth about getting the vine cutting.
4. Take the boat from Ardougne to Brimhaven (costs 30gp)
5. Talk to Garth who is located just South of where the boat comes to shore by the fruit tree patch. He tells you about needing a pot lid to seal the cutting for transportation and that it's located in a maze North-East of shilo village.
6. Take the cart to the East of Garth to Shilo Village (costs 10gp). Stop at the bank and get food and melee armour if needed.
7. Walk out of the gates to the East and take the stepping stones across the river. Now walk north to take the log across the river, then walk south till you reach the opening of the maze and climb up the first part. The maze is a little complicated so I'll let the pictures do the explaining.

Note: While you are going through the maze you might want to fight monsters to get parts of a wizard to get a reward of 10k mage xp, 200 laws and 100 bloods after the quest. It takes a little while to get all the drops, so it's up to you to decide if it's worth it as it's not part of the quest. It may be required for a quest in the future though.

And you are finally at where the roots of the huge jade vine is.
32. Dig up some loose soil to find some roots
33. Cut the roots to get a root cutting
34. Use the cutting with a plant pot to try and start growing your own to take back to Horacio
It may fail a couple times
Just keep cutting new ones and trying on the plant pot till it's successful
35. Use the Potted root on your normal pot that you brought and it will be sealed with the lid. If you try and leave without it sealed in the pot, it will die.
36. Go back to Horacio in Ardougne. He will want you to plant is as well now (No Surprise)
37. Plant the seed in his patch. There's a leprechaun near it if you need any tools.
38. Make sure you have a woodcutting axe (you can't hurt it otherwize) as your weapon and food before you start combat.
39. Fight the wild vine down, it's not that difficult for higher levels. Lower levels might find it more difficult. The highest I saw it hit me was 16.
40. Talk to Horacio and you are finished!
After you are done, if you collected the body parts during the quest (you can always go back and get them later) you can now take them to Zavistic Rarve in the Magic guild. If you can't get into the magic guild you can ring the bell outside to talk to Zavistic.
After returning the body parts, he'll give you 200 laws and 100 blood runes. He still wants more evidence for the courts against Sandy, however.
He'll teleport you there.
Search the desk for his diary and unlock it
Go back to Zarvistic and give him the book
He will invite you to the ceremony where he will give you the 10k magic experience for helping out.
