Note:
• There is also a helmet for archers, called Archer Helm. I need confirmation on the stat requirement for this helmet gives 2 less ranged bonuses than the Robin Hood Hat gives.

• Chaps And Vambraces DO NOT NEED DEFENSE LEVELS.

• Always use a SHORT BOW while training ranged. Select the RAPID style in order to hit at your fastest speed. ( Around 1.85 Seconds Per Shot )

Must Do Quests [ F2P ]:
• To be able to wear any Dragon Body, must do Dragon Slayer Quest.

Must Do Quests [ P2P ]:
• Biohazard Quest, in order to use the Lathas Training Ground.

• Fremenik Trials, in order to use the Archer Helm.

• Roving Elves, in order to use the Crystal Bow.

• Must have done Dragon Slayer as well if you are not a Pure Archer.

• Fishing Contest Quest ( in order to train low level ranged )

Training Areas [ F2P ] : ( NOTE: there aren’t many places to train ranged on this free land )
Rats on the Varrock Sewers ( From Level-1 to 5 ) : Since these got Low defense, this is your best choice to kill, and you wont have a hard time shooting them. ( Always remember to wear a short bow at rapid style ).

Crafting Guild’s Cows ( From Level-5 to 30 ) : These cows are one of your best choices to slaughter, since of their Extreme Low defense and 8 hitpoints, they wont take long to kill and these give about 25 experience each. If the spot is empty , which most of the time it is, will be PLENTY of cows to kill.

Crafting Guild’s HobGoblins ( From Level-30 to 50 ) : Your best shot is to get 28 Combat ASAP so you can 1-Click these, once you are done with that, you are set, These hobgoblins Are not that bad exp, and they are quite weak versus your arrows.

Wilderness’s Graveyard Of Shadows ( From Level-50 to 99 ): Just stand behind the fence and Voila! There are plenty of Zombies level 18 to 24, each of them are about 90 exp, and they are weak vs arrows too ( will have a hard time failing a shot ).

Training Areas [ P2P ] :
• Rats on the Varrock Sewers ( From Level-1 to 5 ) : Since these got Low defense, this is your best choice to kill, and you wont have a hard time shooting them.

Ice Mountain Underground Tunnel *Dwarves* ( From Level-30 to 55 ) : These little boys are level-28 if I am not mistaken. There are A LOT of these and each give about 100 Ranging Exp, Plus you can hide behind the tables to range safely.

Magic Guild’s Basement ( From Level-30 to 60 ): All these zombies are level 24, You need 66 Magic to get into this guild or just 63 Magic with Wizard Mind Bomb ( This beer can be gotten in Falador’s bar or Game’s Room bar ). Each of these zombies give about 90 exp.

Ardougne’s Zoo ( From Level 60 to 80 ) : Place yourself in between the Ogre and Cyclop’s cages, then start ranging. 1 Ogre, 1 Cyclops and 1 Snake. Then repeat.

King Lathas’s Training Ground ( From Level 60 to 99 ) : Once you have done Biohazard Quest, you are able to use this Ranging Training Ground. This place has over 10 Ogres Level-63, easy to kill and way nice exp.

Yanille’s East and South West Areas ( From Level 60 to 80 ) : Here, are some Islands around which are completely deserted. Both of them have over 3 ogres level 52 or 63.

Wilderness’s Training Areas [ P2P ]:
Feelin’ a bit lazy huh? Want to Semi-Afk? Look at this part of the guide!

Pirate’s Hall ( From Level- 60 to 80 ): Just place yourself at this Pirate’s hut and ready to rumble! These dudes give over 100 Ranging Exp. **Note** You need around 37 Thieving to get into this Hut PLUS a lockpick. Lockpicks can be gotten from Rogues ( level-32 thieving required and you will sometimes get a lockpick off these ), or get yourself level 58 Agility, and go through the monkey bars in Yanille’s Agility dungeon , go past the druids , follow the path downstairs and you will find this picklock spawn.

Axe Hut ( From Level 70 to 99 ) First of, the Axe hut is usually on use for High Leveled Warriors [ Level-100+ ] so be careful in this place. You need a picklock to get in, and about 30sh thieving. Axes are AWESOME exp, you get auto attacked and 180 exp per axe. Axes are Level-42 Monsters.

Update List:

6/1/2005: Fixed a typo, it's the Fishing Contest quest not platform.

Yeah, im trying to make some colours.

Also, for the picking arrows thing, it takes out some bunch of ranged exp.

Without picking you would get much more an hour
