firemaking guide

Firemaking is on of the most useless skills in RuneScape, but pretty handy to cook your RuneScape lunch on. And if you train it good, you are able to light other things then only wood.

Items needed: Your best friend with firemaking is your tinderbox!
Tinderboxes can be purchased for 1gp at every general store and it is a monster drop of imps.

Now a list of surten things you can burn down till only ash is left!!!

If you want to burn shades in Mort'ton, you also need a tinderbox and sacred oil... Here is a list of items required to burn shades.

How to burn a shade
Get a shade remain then go to a funeral pyre (located around mort'ton) place the logs that are treated with sacred oil place the shade and use a tinderbox on it

If you're looking for places to train or methods of training firemaking I have some suggestions here if you want to include them?

1) The woodcutting-firemaking training:

As many people know already, woodcutting training is best done on willows for sheer speed, this makes Draynor a good spot for stockpiling willows for burning later. I suggest Edgeville if you want to burn a stockpile. However if you want to burn as you go stick to Draynor.

Note; Firemaking gives more exp than you'd get for say, cutting trees. From level 1 onwards (as I did) you are pretty much going to have at least 3-5 levels more firemaking than woodcutting.

2) The yews training:

Once you hit 70/75 and you don't mind burning yews I highly suggest training in Varrock. You can easily burn a whole like from the solo yew tree all the way to the other cutting spot. I personally trained here to get to 80 fm, it tends to be sparsely populated with some people appearing around there on F2p. It would be safe to say this is a very nice spot if you ever go for 80+ firemaking.

Also.. Maybe include the average price from if some1 went 30-99 willow 45-99 maple and so on. Obviously the GE prices are always changing. But for those who want to buy logs that will help...
