Post subject:  THE ULTIMATE RANGE GUIDE (PLZ COMMENT :D)

*********************************************

FIRST OF ALL I MADE THIS GUIDE BECAUSE I LIKE RANGING AND WANT TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE WITH IT. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE A COMMENT AND TELL ME ANY WAYS TO IMPROVE IT.

IT IS ONLY MY 2ND GUIDE SO PLEASE DONT FLAME ME ON IT :D

*********************************************

INTRODUCTION: My Following Guide explains many ways to train Range to your desired level and the recommended equipment. The Ranged combat skill is very useful as you can do what meleers can’t, SAFESPOT, which is basically taking no damage while inflicting damage.

The following information shows you what the best recommended / advised equipment is to train ranging. For ammunition it is recommended you use bronze, iron or steel arrows and use Ava's attractor or accumulator.

*********************************************

REQUIREMENT LEVEL:

This information shows in order:

The level needed, the type of weapon/s, what range bonus it gives, what ammunition it can take, alternatives to use at that level.

1: SHORTBOW, +8 Range bonus, Bronze or iron arrows, Bronze knifes

5: OAK SHORTBOW, +14 Range bonus, Bronze – Steel arrows, Bronze knifes

20: WILLOW SHORTBOW & WILLOW COMPOSITE BOW, +20 & +22 range bonus, Bronze – Mithril arrows, Bronze Knife

30: MAPLE SHORTBOW, +29 range bonus, Bronze – Adamant arrows, Bronze knife and Dorgeshuun crossbow with bone bolts.

40: YEW SHORTBOW & YEW COMPOSITE BOW, +47 & +49 range bonus, Bronze – Rune arrows, Sacred Clay bow & Bronze knifes

50: MAGIC SHORTBOW & MAGIC COMPOSITE BOW, +69 & +71 range bonus, Bronze – Rune arrows, Bronze knifes.

61: RUNE CROSSBOW, +90 range bonus, Up to Runite bolts (THIS INCLUDES ENCHANTED RUNITE BOLTS), Bronze knifes.

*********************************************
The Crystal bow costs a lot of money but offers the greatest experience of all save cannoning and red chinchompas

Bone bolts can only be used with the Dorgeshuun crossbow or Zanik's crossbow.

Zanik's crossbow requires The Chosen Commander Quest.

If you have the required 55 Slayer for broad-tipped bolts, use them as they are cheaper than Mithril bolts, but as strong as adamant bolts.

i would add chinning from 90-99. and add grays are more economical then reds but reds tend to be faster if u have the money. needs more work but im not really one to write a guide without help from several people.

Good basic guide, images would be helpful, and XP and cash per hour would make it more useful, information on safe spots would be good, and of course chinning-sp (but from 85-99)

Not a bad guide, but do you think it would be worth it to range green dragons at 80 range?
