Rune crafting is a skill that is slow at first, but gets better as you gain levels. Runecrafting is bascially a skill for mages, but many use it for money, as well as magic xp.


Runes you can make with RC

Type--exp per ess- lvl to make

Air rune -- 5 xp -- lvl 1 to make
Mind rune -- 5.5 xp -- lvl 2 to make
Water rune -- 6 xp -- lvl 5 to make
Earth rune -- 6.5 xp -- lvl 9 to make
Fire rune -- 7 xp -- lvl 14 to make
Body rune -- 7.5 xp -- lvl 20 to make
Cosmic rune* -- 8 xp -- lvl 27 to make
Chaos rune* -- 8.5 xp -- lvl 35 to make
Nature Rune* -- 9 xp -- lvl 44 to make
Law runes* -- 9.5 xp -- lvl 54 to make

Fire -- North of the entrance to the Al Kharid Duel Arena
Body -- Just west of Barbarian Village
Cosmic* -- In Zanaris, past otherworldy beings
Chaos* -- lvl 10 wildy north of edge ville
Nature* -- North of Shilo Village
Law* -- Island of Etrana, North of brigde, by fire bird

Tips on how to Get good Runecrafting Levels

For levels 1-14(p2p, f2p), i suggest making airs, since its quick xp, and its very close to a bank

For lvls 14 to 44(p2p), Make Fire runes! Get/buy emeralds, make them into dueling rings, then start out by getting your ring, 26 ess, and your fire tally. Tele to alkarhid duel arena, run to alter, make fires, tele to castle wars to get more ess. Repeat as many times as needed.

For lvls 44+(p2p)**, make NATS! There is a great market for nats, so sell them for 400 ea! Nats are in my mind the quickest money, besides woodcutting. However, if you are only after xp, i suggest laws or fires, since they are closest to bank

For lvls lvls 9-?(f2p), make earths, since fires are too far from a bank in free. Earths are quickest xp in Free. Since RC in free stops at lvl 20, make earths untill you get your desired lvl.


** For quick nat crafting, bring your ess noted to karjama, about 20k gp,and your tally. since the shilo bank is too far, there is a short cut to making nats. sell your ess to the general shop in the norther part of Tai Bwo Wannai, and buy it back. You will lose some money, but they nats make up for that. Careful of "essance theives", people who will buy your ess from the store. Always bring 150 to 200 more ess than nats your planning on making. This method is fastest for nat crafters, and nats are great money.

you say i should make earths as a non member. is it closer or farther than the air alter. this doesnt matter, but im lvl 40 and i strictly want exp

Do air is you are hirering runners..
I did this one time with 5 runners and I had good xp.

Rocket - fires are not the fastest xp as F2P.. The runs take too long compared to earth and air runs..

If you have completed the grand tree quest, then use the Ring of duelling to at the castle wars bank and get more essence, then use it again to go to the duelling arena, then walk to the glider in al kharid and use it to fly all the way to the Brimhaven Jungle, it's faster than walking back and forth to the shop.

Also a faster method to level up RC is to make fires with the ring of duelling, by teleporting to Castle Wars to use the bank and use the ring to be teleported very close to the altar, It's very fast, but hardly profitable.

hmm i like it but maybe keep making fires for speed lvls
