Just wanted to say howdy! I am brand new to RS because a friend told me about it (only logged on twice) . RSBNB has been the best resource I've seen to get myself acclimated to this MMORPG.

I do have a newbie question though...I was walking from Lumbridge to the bank in Draynor and got ganked  . I tried to heal by eating some of the cooked beef I had but I still died shortly. Are there monsters in that area that will hostile you without you attacking first (the goblins seem to wait until yiou strike first)? And just to be clear, PKing is only allowed in the Wildy right? No one can come up and kill me in towns (even on PKing servers)?

Thanks lots and sorry for asking obvious questions.

Hi there.
The Highwaymans are aggressive so youve better uh.. run when you see them.

Welcome to the R to the S to the B to the AND to the B!
Consider yourself RSBANDBERISED!

To answer your question, highway men always attack low lvls but goblins etc dont. Just depends on what creature youre passing. Just be careful is your best option. and yes PKing can only be done in the Wildy, youre safe everywhere else and on any server. In future tho you should ask your questions in the "Runescape Related Questions" thread :P

A Kid asked Jesus, "How much do you love me?" and Jesus said. "This much."
And spread his arms out on the cross and died.

Thx for the welcome! After looking at the Monster Database here on RSBNB I have to agree with jrdgames...it was probably not highwaymen but the jailguards

A hard-learned lesson but good to know. Lost all the beginning runes but all the other items I can get back fairly easily (i.e. bucket, pot, shears, net)

yea its pretty easy to get those back, and a note im pretty sure a bronze pick spawns in the dwarven house on your way into falador from the south (i.e highway man spot) if ya wanna mine.
and avoid any monster thats higher lvl then you cuz its probally hostile.
