Today is a defining day in SOTW history, as it marks the release of a little thing I like to call JRS.
JRS stands for
Judge Rotation System - and it's possible you already know that if you've read my blog since it's come back.

But whatever does it mean?
The Judge Rotation System is as its name suggests: a rotation system for the current SOTW Judges.
There is now a new group for "Active SOTW Judges".
This group was actually made a week or so ago, and until now, all of the judges have been a part of this group, meaning they were all able to vote during that time. Despite this, the system has been talked about for a long while, originally suggested by Mushroom Queen who is very excited to see things finally happening (sorry it took forever, MQ

).
When judges are pulled out of this group, they will stay on in the good old SOTW Judges group, still allowing them access to the Judges' forums but with the inability to vote.
They will then be able and allowed to enter the SOTW competition.Judges will rotate every four weeks, so don't worry about the same judges being of annoyance all the time.

For one thing, they only enter the competition on their own accord - it is not mandatory for them.
Unfortunately, those who are not judges will not be able to tell exactly who are and are not Active Judges, so there's where the surprise is. You'll just have to wait and find out.

The lists may, however, be posted at a later date.
If we find that things are not running as smoothly as they should, or not how we want them to, changes will be made - so don't freak out if suddenly the judges start hogging all the wins or something.

Anyway, hopefully this well help to even out the playing field a bit more. I don't think there's anything I've left out, except that I hope you're all looking forward to some good old fashioned competition!!
