The moment you've all been waiting for; yes, I know, it's been a -very- long time coming, and so many people have asked me about it just over my time as SOTW Leader. So here you go. No more whining at me, OK?
If you're interested in becoming one of
up to four new SOTW Judges, here's what you need to know.
It would probably help if you had a decent background in graphic design, or at least signature making, but it's still fine if you're just one who can spot a great sig.
There's not a great deal of work involved in being a judge, so as long as you're an active member and available for voting during weekends, you should be fine. Optional participatory events may be seen in the near future.
You will be required to keep an eye on the entry threads and moderate them (to the extent only of SOTW) if necessary.
Judges are not required to post their opinions on sigs, and who they vote for will only be known by themselves, unless they choose to say.
Confidentiality is a big part of being a judge. We need to be able to trust you not to leak any information to non-judges, no matter who they are.
Basics down, we'll give you the rest of what you need to know if you're selected. So here's the important part.
Fill out the following form and
PM your application to me. Do NOT post in this topic, or PM your application to anyone else.
All information you submit in this application will be confidential and only shared between myself, Matt and if necessary, Mike/Shane. Your real name need only be your first name, and past experience includes anything from graphic design to other judge or staff positions. Be as detailed as you can.
Code:
Real Name:

Location & Timezone:
Email Address:
Instant Messenger Handle(s): (e.g. MSN - yourmsn@hotmail.com)
Past Experience? Yes/No, explain.
Why would you make a good SOTW Judge?
New judges will be selected by Matt and myself, with the final OK's by Mike or Shane. Therefore, obviously, it would greatly improve your chances if you have a clean record at RSBANDB.
Post here if you have any questions or comments, otherwise get your applications in to me.
There will be no set closing date for the applications, as it will be dependent on how many we receive. Expect a week at minimum, so the earlier you get yours in, the better.
The closing date for applications is 12am on the night of Monday 26th November (GMT). If your application is in late, it won't be counted.
This topic may remain open until slightly later, however, when I will be around to lock it.
